I'd reckon about a third of this list is worse than Juskowiak. #10s Through the Years ... DC United Marco Etcheverry Colorado Roy Wegerle Steve Rammel Waldir Saenz Anders Limpar Carlos Valderamma Columbus Brian Maisonneuve Dallas Washington Rodriguez Dante Washington Ricardo Iribarren Joselito Vaca Kansas City Mike Sorber (only in Kansas City) Mo Johnston Francisco Gomez Los Angeles Mauricio Cienfuegos MetroStars Tab Ramos Lothar Matthäus (ugh) Andrzej Juskowiak New England Alberto Naveda Edwin Gorter Mario Gori Mauricio Ramos Cate Alex Pineda Chacon San Jose Christopher Sullivan (that's right, the MLS Wrap stand in) Francisco Uribe Raul Diaz Arce Travis Mulraine Landon Donovan Tampa Bay Carlos Valderammma Jorge Salcedo Mauricio Ramos Carlos Valderamma Chicago Peter Nowak Miami Carlos Valderamma Edwin Gorter Andy Williams Alex Pineda Chacon
It's so ironic...MLS breaks its rules to get this guy on the Mutts, and he can't help them win their first piece of hardware.
Maybe we should give the guy more than 4 or 5 games to play with his team before we label him the worst ever.
Re: Re: Who is the worst player to wear #10 in the history of MLS? Maybe. Although I knew someone would come through with a historical list. Thanks Knave!
Actually, you missed one. Chilean Victor Mella wore #10 for the San Jose Clash in 1996. Early in the season they signed another foreigner (I forget who), and had to cut him. The Revs picked him up later that season. He might be the worst, or close to it. Tom
Uhh....what exactly is the difference between Juskowiak and Thiago Martins? Or Chris Bagley, for that matter? MLS isn't breaking rules solely for the benefit of the Metros - far from it - but for anyone thrown into a pinch like this. And he's not supposed to be seen as a savior - you know better than that. He's somewhere between our 3rd and 4th striker, ideally. He's certainly not to blame for us not winning last night, and taking way too much heat on the Metro boards for it. The ball wasn't even reaching him.
