Ronaldo Nazario is much better than Ronaldinho Gaucho in World Cups 1998 ... 2002 ...2006;;; even in 2006 Ronald super Fat ;;;already ] was better than Ronaldinho ...( at his peak )
Ronald Super Fat in 2006 5 matches 3 goals 1 assist to Adriano Drunk Ronaldinho Gaucho at his peak in 2006( You Tube Highlights Player ) 5 matches 0 goals 1 assist to Gilberto 1 pre-assist to Cicinho to Ronald super Fat ( gay man )
I was going to agree with you but this devolved into Sofascores and denigrating other great players. Acting like Cristiano is a vastly superior player to R9 is ridiculous. He is not.
yes ...it is the major problem of Fan Boys .. ( Messi ... C. Ronaldo ... Ronaldinho ... Kaka etc ...) and their specific darling players the major problem is : they only see the great qualities of their beloved media players... But they always forget it or are momentarily blind this blindness causes several constant distortions in the analyses. Where is there a general or global vision in this sport? Where is there a general or global vision in this sport? and impartiality within this after all ????
today .... i saw SofaScore ...grave errors one of them was for example Ruud Gullit 4 (3) Headers Won i saw this whole game against Republic of Ireland .. twice .... in 1988 today in reality on this match Ruud Gullit 16 ( 10 ) had headers Won 10 ! 10 ! Headers Won
i agree with you ... dear mate Ronaldo Nazario is sniffling right behind C.Ronaldo's neck in The History Of the Football ! ahhahahahahaha !
From the players in this poll, Zidane. He was a brilliant player but not top 5 all time, which is where he is normally rated.
don't makes this with Zizou .... he is a good person .... and a good boy ... hahahaha ! well cest la vie mon ami !
Depends From the top 10 it's Zidane (still top 10-11) top 10-20: R9 (14th in my book) top 20-30: Ronaldinho top 30-40: Iniesta top 40-50: Maldini But overall: 1st class (top 150-200 all timers): Scholes, Ibrahimovic, Cafu, Ramos, Hazard 2nd class (top 200-300): Del Piero, Busquets 3rd class (outside of the top 300): Ozil, Aguero
Concistency/longevity wise he is vastly superior. If we talk about footballing ability, Cristiano is far better at headers, long range, acrobatic and weak foot goalscoring. They are only comparable in therms of dribbling but playmaking Cristiano is also vastly superior.
Comparable in terms of dribbling mate???? Playmaking is closer comparison between them than dribbling I honestly think (talking about prime R9).
If we talk about 06-14 Ronaldo, yeah, they are comparable at dribbling. Ronaldo averaged like 2.5 dribbles per game on that period and I doubt peak R9 already averaged more than this between 96 and 99. They had a similar style of dribbling often using elásticos, nutmegs, chops, change of direction and put the ball ahead and take the defender using speed. And they had the same level of effectiveness with their dribbling. On the other hand, they aren't comparable at playmaking. R9 doesn't have the pinpoint crossing ability or CR7. Chance creation in general CR7 is far ahead of him.
Ronaldo (original) had better balls skills, control, fluidity, evasiveness in dribbling for me. CR7's crossing wasn't especially reliable I think. And he was never a high success % dribbler of course. Ronaldo Nazario wasn't impotent in terms of making goals and openings exactly, by any means:
I respectfully disagree mate. Cristiano were as good as R9 in balls skills, control, fluidity, evasiveness in dribbling for me. And at passing they aren't comparable.
On the data we have for R9 he never surpassed 1.9 dibbles per game. That were his average at his peak in 98 world cup. Then we have 1.8 in 2002 World Cup, 1.8 in 03/04 UCL and so on. He had a completion rate close to CR7 also with around 45%. On the other hand, Cristiano Ronaldo already had CLs with 5+ dribbles per game and euros/WC with 2.5+ dribbles per game. Back then I've watched some full matches of peak R9 at Barça and Inter and he doesn't seem to have more than 2 dribbles per game on his club career also.
Ok, we can agree to respectfully disagree mate. You are premature in deciding he had so few dribbles in his prime I think though (albeit he was fouled a lot which limits the numbers). Have a look at these though for examples:
I counted 3 complete dribbles in the first video and 4 in the second by the definition of opta (passing a player while retaining possession of the ball). I didn't count the fouls won but there were definitely more than the number of successful dribbles. You got two of his best games. Cristiano suffered as many fouls as R9 and this did not limit his number of dribbles. Pre 2014 Cristiano had the same number of fouls won per game as pre 2004 Ronaldo
It would be an interesting comparsion, for me at least, to see who would win the tally in terms of solo-goals with the following specific conditions: 1) The player must receive the ball outside of the box. 2) No other teammate is allowed to touch the ball after the said player receives the ball. 3) A dribble must have been completed in between the player receiving the ball, and the player scoring the goal. 4) Goals scored via a super low xG value long range shots are not counted, because most of the work needs to be done prior to the shot. Even a pre-injury Ronaldo does not seem the kind to wear defenders down, dribble after dribble, but rather somebody who had the ability to suddenly devastate a defence with superhuman speed and dribbling, and having a larger percentage of soloist type goals than most prolific goal-scorers. However, in terms of just sheer dribbling volume, I'm not sure pre-injury Ronaldo would be at the top of my list. It definitely would be an interesting topic for sure.
Better in longevity and aerially. He is not vastly superior otherwise and R9 is a better center forward
Ronaldo was a better dribbler. It can be seen in the quality of their play and execution. As for dribbling volume which is hardly an indicator of quality, I fear you are not accurate in your statement
Ronaldinho ... for me .... Top 26 or Top 30 with pretty good lovely feelings about him until Top 60 or Top 75 in my case i think so he was too farsant on the decisive games only 0, 48 % behaviour in big matches ! only 300 goals ..... only ... 230 assists ..in 813 matches in senior squad level ! even lost to the Inter Brazil 2006 .. Adriano Gabiru Fifa World Club Cup Final ! https://www.google.com/search?q=bar...ate=ive&vld=cid:251d4b98,vid:DPIVRIQx1Eg,st:0
Of course cause CR7 never were a CF until 2021. So you're saying that R9 was as good of a crosser as the winger/wide midfielder CR7? The stats are there and you can check them. CR7 had more volume of dribbles and virtually the same conversion rate. I personally don't see the "quality of their play and execution" of R9 better than CR7 It's not biased. It's literally all we have.
