Zanetti is a tireless player; he defends and attacks gladly with his tremendous rushes. During the season 2003/04 he was the big leader of Internazionale, he then even played his 400ste game in black/blue. He is only the 5e player who reached this. The attacking RB rises gladly and is very dangerous for opponents with his unstoppable rushes. He runs opponents beyond as if they don’t even stand there and has excellent crosses and passes in his legs. The topic starter should never ever watch a football game again. For fck sake man. If you can but a worthless wankers like Cicinho, Gary Neville and even Eboue (??? You biased bitch) on the list, how the fck can you forget him. Not even mentioning Miguel and D.Alves. You ********ing yank, stick it to American football.

It's great how Gary Neville is on here and Daniel Alves is not.

Gary Neville may not be world class but he's proved himself time and time again and has contributed enormously to Man Utd's success over the years even if he's nothing special.

Dani Alves is just some next Brazilian who's tipped to be the next Cafu.

Daniel Alves has been brilliant for the last two years.

    Please watch before you type.

Exactly, Alves is one of the best RB's in the history of the game. He should definetley be up for FIFA WPOTY.

I'm surprised he never gets the credit he deserves.

The same Cafu who has been an institution in three World Cup championship matches, two of them successful, and was, in his prime, a mainstay in a defender-heavy league? That Cafu?

He certainly compares favorably with Neville, and Alves would do well to emulate him. Your prejudice against Brasilian defenders (who may lack the defending abilities of the very best Italian defenders, but are usually their betters as overall footballers) is showing.

Cafu is on a different planet from Neville.

    1. Oddo
    2. Zanetti
    3. Sagnol

Oddo didn't get much mention, but he is a terrific defender. He can tackle well and has amazing crossing. He works hard and scores some good freekicks and long distance shots.

Zanetti, yes, but IMO Zambrotta is better than Oddo.

I guess his move to Barca threw many off. Didn't exactly enjoy a good season there. Hopefully he gets back to form or magically decides to leave and go back to Juve.

Oddo seems to have been overshadowed by Zambrotta at the NT level, and is being more exposed now since moving to Milan and playing in the Euro qualifiers.

At 21 years of age, Sergio Ramos looks to be catching up to the more experienced vets.

    Cicinho is not.

Alves and Zambrotta most certainly are.

I take it you've never seen either.

True, but Finnan is the most consistent RB in the EPL and is still better than that diver w/ a fauxhawk.
