Cafu, Zanetti, and Zambrotta are the best. Each can defend,
each is fabulous as a wing-back aiding the attack.

N.B.: Zambrotta was an LB until this season, when Lippi and
then Capello shifted him to RB.

Simple....Willy Sagnol....he can do it all and more.

Cafu and Zanetti are past their primes.

I'm with you on this pal although I must say Paulo Ferreira of Chelsea can match Zambrotta on his day.

How on earth is Sagnol a better RB than Zanetti,
Cafu, or Zambrotta? Leaving aside "I am a Bayern
    fan" as an argument.

are you a football fan then? Because you would have to be absolutely football-ignorant not too realize and acknowledge Sagnol as an excellent RB. Just watch any Bayern game of the last year, any of them, and you'll see.

No one really stands out to be honest. I would say Cafu is a fairly good shout tho.

I agree. And I'm a Dortmund fan. I don't love Bayern at all but I'm fair enough to acknowledge that Sagnol is pure class.

"Football-ignorant"? You didn't even mention Cafu,
who's been in three WC finals, or Zanetti, captain
of Inter and Argentina. Look who's talking.

there was a similar thread on this topic in which I did mention Cafu and Zanetti alongside Sagnol I never discounted Cafu. And I didn't treat Zambrotta as a rb becuase he's also certainly up there but this thread is referring to the best and in my opinion Willy Sagnol stands above the rest, not only does he contribute more than the other RB's to his respective team but he's also the most consistent. Again, I urge you to watch any Bayern game of 2005.
