Midfielder...hmmm.... Centeno is a bad ass! But I'd g2g with Beasley & Cuauhtemoc Blanco (even tho he don't always play in the mid)...
Here are some good ones: Holding / Defensive MF : Kerry Zavagnin (USA), Gerardo Torrado (MEX) Wide MF : Eddie Lewis (USA), DaMarcus Beasley (USA), Ricardo Gardner (JAM), Julio Medina (PAN) Attacking MF : Landon Donovan (USA), Ramon Morales (MEX), Antonio "Zinha" Naelson (MEX), Walter Centeno (CRC)
El mexicano Lozano El chapin Ramirez El tico Centeno There is another costarican guy, his name is Carlos hernandez, he is gonna be on everybody's list in a couple of years, you'll see
Julian de Guzman was a top 10 Bundesliga midfielder two seasons ago. Slumped along with the rest of his team this past season but will get a chance to shine with Deportivo la Coruna this coming season. We'll see where he fits but he is one to look out for in this category. I think he is well establised in a top league, more so than Beasley at least.
He started today for Deportivo la Coruna as they opened their Intertoto bid with a home win. Reports from Spain have Julian beating all other players in fitness testing at the start of training.
in terms of ball distribution and winning the ball plus holding it, Claudio Reyna is above everyone in this region...
my god, i was waiting to see how long it would take to mention one of the best midfielders in the world . . . 2002 all WC Team, need i say more? Blanco from mexico???? does he even play for the national team anymore?
