I am very surprised that the name Reina doesnt come up more often. For me it's a toss up between him and Buffon.
Reina is not even the goalkeeper for his country. He is behind Casillas, who is the superior goalkeeper and Canizares. The best in the game; 1. Gianluigi Buffon 2. Íker Casillas 3. Petr Cech 4. Oswaldo Sánchez 5. Grégory Coupet
I think Buffon, Cech and Casillas are in a league of their own. After that it all depends on current form.
if u don't think boruc is best check him out on you tube or just watch for club and country week in week out.
Just like any other rankings that have "the best" in the opening title, this thread is pointless, if not dumb. We all have a different notion of "the best." If anything, it should be "Who's YOUR favorite goalkeeper in the world." There are a lot of world class keepers out there, and soccer is a team game, not individual sport like boxing where it can (also arguably) be argued that someone is the best in the world at this time if he holds the title.
this poll is kinda eehhhh buffon has been the best keeper alive for at leatst 7years now van der sar=2nd imo cech=3rd

I see the fact that I live in Scotland evaded you. the fact u live in scotland then u should know how good boruc is. but then i bet you don't actually see him live every game for celtic and i take it you don't watch any poland games either.
dude please he has been supersolid for yeaaaars now he hardly makes mistakes AND he can play along a little
Keep the shite coming Bhoy. He wasn't even the best keeper in Scotland until Gordon moved out, let alone in Britain or Europe or the rest of the World. He's an above average shot stopper and good at saving penalties but so is Reina and he isn't in the top five either. Oh, and the above is how you quote a post. It's rather simple.
Boruc is world class without a doubt. I'm surprised you live in Scotland and argue otherwise. Your post is also a further proof that this poll is meaningless. You throw names around that YOU think are better or best, but it is only your subjective opinion and carries as much weight as anybody else's or even less if you're being an a-hole to another member. Look back at the posts and see how many names have already been mentioned. There is no objective criteria that can possibly be used to judge a goalkeeper. How many goals he allowed is as much a function of his ability as of the performance of the defensive players, to keep a simple argument. Ability to stop PKs is arguably more objective but it's only a relatively small part of a keeper's overall value.
Hahahahahahahaha! You slay me! Buffon is the man, Coupet 2, Freidel 3, Casillas4. Cech was 2 until his injury
