There's no "probably" about it. I'd be shocked, shocked if we saw Cerritos again in 2002. He's done for this season. And just when he was starting to produce.
AND, and top of that, Kreis is now entering a slump. "Only if Jeffries gave him the rest he really needs..." After a very fortunate turnaround this year, the burn will crash and ... ... burn.
Entering? He's been in it for a while. I can only think of one goal in the past several matches, and that's the goal against Chicago last month.
very true... but when jason isn't scoring goals, he's setting them up or commiting to defense. even in his deepest slump(s), he's contributing... but i really don't c him as capable of helping 'at-all'. he needs a serious rest and he's not going to get it. i hate 2 b a constant jeffries basher, but mj just "doesn't get it". the burn are 'cooked' and 'well-done'.
Kreis has one goal in the last 10 games? That's not a slump - that's Chris Albright territory. Bobby Rhine has 1 goal in the last 10 games. We are in a heap of trouble.
It's official. Cerritos is out for the season. And, unfortunately, the injury sounds pretty bad. According to mlsnet.com, "An MRI taken today revealed that Cerritos suffered a tibial platau fracture, an MCL sprain and a lateral meniscus injury in his right knee." Surgery is tentatively scheduled for next Tues, Sept 10. http://www.mlsnet.com/content/02/dal0906cerritos.html
