Our upcoming match with Spurs got me thinking, "What teams have Everton struggled against?" and "What teams, if any, have the Toffees dominated?"

Here're Everton's head-to-head records during the Premiership years (no Cup games included; through last season), listed from worst to best:

    Man Utd.........3-21-4 (W-L-T)
    Tottenham.....2-16-10
    Arsenal..........4-18-6
    Chelsea.........4-14-10
    Aston Villa.....7-13-8
    Newcastle.....8-13-5
    Liverpool.......7-11-10
    Blackburn......10-11-3
    Sheffield........1-2-1
    Wigan...........0-1-1
    Charlton........6-6-2
    Fulham..........5-5-0
    Man City........8-7-3
    Bolton...........6-4-4
    Middlesbro.....10-6-6
    West Ham......11-5-6
    Portsmouth.....5-1-0

Note: Everton did not play Reading or Watford between 1992 & 2005.

I was a bit surprised by Villa's dominance over us.

But it's nice to see the Toffees holding their own, more or less, vs the RS.

Well, we've been pretty much shit since the inception of the Premiership. We had plenty of moments before then, though.

I'm not too surprised by the results. Nor am I too bothered by them. History is exactly that - history - and it can always change! (More optimism for you.)

By the way, screw Manchester United. I'll take our 2004/05 1-0 win over them, with Big Dunc scoring the winner, with me to my grave. That was a beautiful day.
