And does anyone beside our team's coaching staff know anything about her? Cause we fans sure don't. Paul
Two seasons ago I saw her goal from the midfield line on a free kick against Harvard that was a difference in a 1-0 game. Certainly stuck in my mind,
They said the same about tietjen and most of the charge players when the league started back in 2001. So I'm not surprise that you didn't know her but don't worry you will get your chance to know who McVeigh is this season.. Who knows, McVeigh could be our hero sometimes For you info... McVeigh is from Philadelphia, Pa. She scored 11 goals and dished out four assists in her senior season, leading the Big Green to an appearance in the NCAA Tournament. As a midfielder, McVeigh, a unanimous first team All-Ivy League selection for the second straight year, guided the Big Green to a 47-23-3 record, four NCAA Tournament appearances and two Ivy League titles during her four-year career Thanks for supporting our new Charge player and coaching staff decisions! And please don't tell me that you don't know who Rachel kruze is..cus i might get really mean with you, ok.. My advise watch some college soccer next season!
Your facts are not correct. McVeigh is from Northampton, MA and played at Springfield Cathedral in Mass. That would be a long drive from Philadelphia. Don't throw stones if you live in a glass house.
I never heard of her but there's this: Dartmouth college women's soccer #7 Co-Captain Mary McVeigh'03 High school: Played for a powerhouse at Cathedral High School as the squad won three Western Massachussets titles and a share of the Division I state championship as a senior... Earned All-America honors as a senior and was a two-time All-New England pick. Club: Greater Boston Bolts F.C
McVeigh grew up in Northampton but she was born in Philly (City of the Brotherly Love) http://www.gazettenet.com/02042003/sports/4045.htm
I withdraw my earlier jab, as I was unaware she was born in Philly. Saw her play in HS and in club soccer here in Mass.
I attended soccer camp at Dartmouth last year where she was a counselor, so while I haven't seen her play in a college, she sure looked good in those demos! She certainly outshined the other player counselors technically, plus she can juggle a ridiculous number of times in a minute (I can't quite remember how many she did though).
