Just wanted to see who everyone thought will be out after the end of this year.

    Seaman
    Warmuz
    Kanu
    Stepanovs
    Luzhny
Bergkamp??? Heartbreaker if it happens, but it is going to be sooner than later.

And if the Arsenal do get a new keeper will both Taylor and Shaaban stay or will one of them go as well?

And what is going to come of Pennant. If he doesn't get his shot soon he might leave as well.

After this weekends result I think many of us are already looking to next year.

I believe that DB10 has been offered another one year deal and Bergkamp said he wanted just one more year before he retired. I would say that only Kanu would be gone out of the list above.

I agree . . . I thought Seaman would retire but maybe he'd rather retire on a high . . . well, winning the FA Cup may be the high . . . this season is not over but I'm looking forward to see what Wenger does to address the Defense problem.

    As another poster said - a George Graham D and Wenger Offense . . . oooo . . . we've got a team there!

Get rid of Parlour and bring in Malbranque. If Kanu has to go, bring in Morientes.

I think Seaman will stay around because of Euro 2004, but retire after that. It sounds like Bergkamp will be back for one more year, from all that I've heard. I'm pretty sure Warmuz will be gone since Shaaban will be ready for next year. Kanu surely will go, probably to Fenerbache or Galatasaray. I don't know about anyone else leaving though.

I'm suprised no has said this, but what about getting Jaap Stam from Lazio? Lazio needs the money and say we swap Kanu and some cash for Stam or Kanu for stam straight up?

    Think Stam could help?

Kanu for Stam straight up? Lazio would be crazy. Besides, they need money, so they probably wouldn't want a swap. On top of that, he apparently doesn't want to play in England again, he would prefer the Netherlands or to stay in Italy.

So long as we don't lose Patrick to Manchester United. That would be a huge huge mistake.

Wasnt sure which thread to put this in~

What is the infatuation everyone seems to have with the younger west ham players? I dont see where we could use ANY of them logically... like, who would you lot want? Cole, Kanoute, Carrick, et al.. i just dont see it.. where to find that solid Centreback is going to be sooo key to our fortunes of next season (obviously)... thing is, i hear "oh we can get chivu" or something along those lines.. i certainly dont see that (although that would be my choice) happening unfortunately... anyways.. love to hear anyone's thoughts on a replacement for KEOWN next season...
    cheers
    Phishy

we have a bigtime week ahead of us lads.. needing those 6 big pts~

not sure if any of u guys know, but its already been announced over here that seaman will officially be the goalkeeping coach nxt season, with the capacity to still play (if needed). with a bit of luck, the latter will not be the case.

Welcome to BigSoccer, J28L. I'm glad that Seaman will be staying around to coach. I'm sure he has a ton of things to teach Taylor, Shaaban, and whoever else they'll possibly persue this summer. Speaking of the keeping position, if and when Arsenal acquire another keeper, do you think Shaaban will stick around? If he does, will he be the second or third choice keeper? I was fairly impressed with him myself before he got injured.

P, why don't you think Arsenal can get Chivu? Too pricey?

    Hey there juice013!

personally - i reckon shaabans pretty good too - great potential. my housemate from sweden told me bout him from when he played at djuurgardens(summat like that!). he was the second choice keeps' at the time but after an injury to their numero uno - got the chance in the cup final in front of 20-odd thousand! he subsequently played only a handful more games before obviously impressing, and was snatched up by our (lifesaver) AW. it was such a shame that he broke his leg. keep an eye on him...

With regards to the chivu debate - another mate of mine is romanian and although every1s aware of him now..he's been around for ages. always been v.highly rated and as much as i would LOVE him at the arsenal, to prise away an asset such the likes of our romanian friend who dont forget, is club captain and cornerstone of ajax's defence, would be nigh on impossible. unless of course u hav the money of those northern scumbags. (manutd)

Well, that's ok. Even though Cygan hasn't worked out as expected YET, and IMO he shouldn't have sold Upson, I still have faith in Wenger's ability to find gems without paying an arm and a leg. He's going to need to - I think if they don't make a long CL run next year, they might have to sell an important player or two because of the new stadium.
