I keep reading a lot of speculation that a lot of players will be jumping this year, making the MLS SuperDraft a high-quality boon. Is this only speculation, or have people heard things about specific players?

Last year, I believe only three college players jumped to MLS (and what, 2 more to Europe?). In MLS I'm not sure its going to be any easier to get a roster spot than last season, and in Europe wage bills are being slashed. On the other hand, this year's senior class lacks impact players, so I could easily see the first 7 or 8 MLS picks being underclassmen or U-17's.

So who are the best candidates? Historically, there have been almost no freshman to go to MLS (others besides Countess?). It's recently been sophomores and juniors who are solidifying their Junior Nats status or who have been at the top of the NCAA heap for three years, like Nick Garcia or Kyle Martino.

Without having any inside info, I'd guess that Eskandarian, Wingert and CJ Klaas or Ricardo Clark might be the most logical to jump to MLS (along with 3-4 U-17's) with a few others maybe testing the European waters.

Who do others predict or know about?
