Basically i'm looking to collect a range of games from all over the world, especially interested in games not avaialbe to americans/canadians. So far i have collected all world cup 2002 and euro 2000 matches as well as some odds and ends, can anyone help my collection grow? Please let me know as it's really hard to find people who actually collect games. thanks rob
To be honest, World Cup 2002 has no trade value. It was available in the U.S. in 2 languages and in Canada in 4 languages. Whoever didn't have access to World Cup games must have lived in a cave. So is Euro 2000, except to a lesser extent. Euro 2000 was available in Canada on regular cable (TSN), and in the U.S. on PPV. To have games that have trade values in the U.S./Canada, you would be better off recording games from another country, like those available in Mexico or Latin America, that are not available anywhere in the U.S. How's that for a starter? - Champion League games not carried by ESPN2/TSN, only available on ESPN Latin America, which very few people in the U.S. could get. - Qualifying for the 2002 World Cup, from Europe (available on ESPN Latin America, as well as in Arabic on Dubai Sports) and South America (Dubai Sports). The European WCQ was not available in the U.S. at all, while South American WCQ was only available on close-circuit TV, thus very unlikely for consumers to tape. - classic games, like the 1978 Holland x Italy semi-final, the 1980 Mundialito (Brazil x West Germany), or games from Euro 96 (at the time when ESPN2 was launched and unavailable to most of the cable homes).
yes i do get fox sports world as do i catch tsn and espn etc... What i'm looking for is basically games i can't catch, whether i can trade for them or buy them is also ok. Rangers00, someone told me to speak with you as a source of obtaining tapes as rumor has it you tape all things soccer, is that somewhat true? Please let me know if you have a list or what you're able to catch, if i can choose teams/clubs from one country, i'd go with italy, especially Juve. The latest i have is from this past weeks champion league games. I found a pub that taped some stuff for me, the latest i have is 6 of 8 league games, i should be getting Juve/ManU and Deportivo/Basel by the weekend. Besides today's Auxerre/Liverpool match, does anyone have any other uefa games from today? Also from last week's friendlies, i have Holland/Argentina, Mexico/Colombia and Jamaica/US. And i also have the first half of the Macedonia/Poland game with all three goals scored in first half. Please reply thanks rob
No, that's not true. That's purely rumors. The problem is, I don't keep tapes of games except some really big ones, e.g. World Cup final, semi-finals, etc.
I have tons of the English Premier league matches as well as choice oldies and tons of Copa Libertadores and other matches. Also tons of women's soccer matches.
