I don't know where to post this,so sorry.

Speaking of Drafts.Have you guys read the story by John P. Lopez in today's Chronicle, where he holds the Athletic directors at fault for letting our Division-1 soccer players leave the state to play the beautiful game.
Seems that only SMU has a soccer program in Texas.,California has 18.
Players like Wallberto "Pana" Vasquez from Cy Falls would rather play close to home, but unless he goes to SMU,he'll be taken by a out of state collage.
    That sucks !!!!
I would give you guys a link, but I'm not computer savvy enough.:(

Its no suprise Bradley is the most rookie friendly coach, or that Dom is the least. If Bradley things you have it, he will throw you out there on day 1. Dominic on the other hand doesnt really play rookies in their first year. He prefers veterans, and its not until their second and third years when you can get a read on wether his draftees will make it.

Go ahead and cut and paste the link at the top of your browser and put it in. I cannot find it anywhere on the Chronicle website.

    Here's the article:
    Texas needs more D1 soccer.

The one quibble I'd have with Lopez is that you can play D3 in state (like I did) (I know of a youth club teammate and college opponent who was a MLS draftee, from the D3 ranks). You can also play at San Jac and in other collegiate levels. I know Lopez probably wasn't interested in pointing out how we have some lower-key college programs, because that might water down his plea for more college teams, but I think he should have mentioned them because pointing out that they do already exist, and how well these schools (like West Texas, San Jac, Trinity, and such) do on a routine basis at lower levels, drawing almost entirely upon the state for players, would tend to prove the state could have several competitive D1s, if they'd just get up off their butts.
