I realize this is SuperDraft only, but I gotta say RSL's gotten a solid rookie performance outta Willis Forko, whom we picked up in the Supplemental Draft.

I'd have to say Chivas, hands down. I'm not totally sure if it was superdraft or supplemental, but to get 2 rookies of Bornstein and Kljesten's quality in the same year is amazing.

That's a good point, and the performance of him and the Fire kid Robinson does speak to there being some value in the Supplemental Draft. I just balked at running those numbers because there would be so many others who were cut, played no minutes, and scored no goals, and running endless zeros across the page didn't attract me this AM. Nonetheless, because the guy you mention did make it and contribute, my omission is not without its impact; an article mentioning him and other rookies was what got me on the "I ought to run the numbers and really see who did well" kick in the first place.

Oh yeah; poring over the stats for all the supplemental draft picks would be murderous. I don't blame ya for not doing it.

Oh, and I'll second he notion of Chivas if for no other reason than they got Bornstein and Kljestan.

I totally agree with you, especially considering that both players are considered strong candidates for rookie of the year honours.

Except for the fact that not including them renders the stats above completely meaningless. You say Chicago has 457 rookie minutes...and of course you're leaving out the 1,400 minutes that Dasan Robinson has played.

They have the leader in Bornstien and also Kljestan in the running for ROTY. 2 in the top 5 rookies is damned impressive.

Bornstien has been super versatile as well.
