Continuing from this thread which was looking back at the past. Now lets look at the future.
Now that we have to still finalsie the tevez deal for reportedly about 20 million and will probably be able to get rossi for about the same amount.Who would you want?Rossi or Tevez?Or would you want someone else altogether though even more expensive?

Note-This thread is also a atttempt to see whether those people who told me at the time when we signed tevez, that it discouraged rossi and we were better of giving him the chance than signing the gritty argentinian.Even though rossi was not ready to wait.

Tevez every day and twice on a Sunday.

Rossi is class but the wisdom in signing Tevez cannot be questioned and I believe a number of people reasoned this when it happened.

The boy is s star and has more than justified his place in the squad.

Actually, if Ferg is going to rotate 4 guys with Ronaldo and Berbs getting heavy duty and Rooney + one more splitting time, I wouldn't mind if we picked up Rossi on the cheap. He'd not cost 20M. He'd probably cost 12-16M and if the Tevez deal falls through as some (unreliable or not) media houses seem to be reporting then bringing back Joe Red wouldn't be the end of the world. He'd link up with Berbs fo sho

Smart choice. We'd probably make another 2 or 3M quid as Newcastle would probably pay to give him back to us.

    Become the Tea Pot!!
What purpose does a retrospective thread in which we won a CL and league double serve?

The results are obviously going to be eschewed because of last season's successes.

Logical as that may be, it doesn't then become a balanced thread, does it?

It certainly doesn't consider the abilities and attributes of the two players in question, and I'm sure the majority of the board know next to nothing of Rossi since he left, nor much of him when he was here outside of a handful of games.

Not going to get anything like a reasoned set of responses to contrived subject matter.

Carlos has had a dip in form - conceded. However, he has proven himself at this level and goals will come with matches.

Rossi is a great technical talent, but would get mauled alive in the EPL.

Tevez being monitored by Real Madrid.

If we lose Carlitos to Real the entire Utd back room staff and board need shooting. The boy has gold dust in his boots. He was a huge part of last seasons success and if we lose him we lose vital drive and skill from our attack. Madrid will gain one of the best players in the world and you just know that in the summer they'll ant Ronaldo as well.

Fergie, for the love of god, get the boy signed.

Was the world been destroyed while you were safely reading in a bank fault? Do you keep seeing the same hitchhiker while you drive across country? To you just discover that "To Serve Man" is a cookbook?
