As far as the FIFA rankings are concerned, I believe the Netherlands will rise a few spots based on how they performed even if the don't win the whole thing.
For a quick off topic remark, I would love to visit London and then to a greater extent the rest of England. Just couldn't deal with all the freedom robbing cameras.
Netherlands are already out of the tournament thanks to Russia. No #1 spot for them after all. The FIFA Rankings aren't "official" until they are actually updated on the site.
The FIFA Rankings are going to be a mess after the EURO ends, unless Italy wins it. Germany is bound to jump up to the top if they win it all. Russia and Turkey will break top 20. Netherlands will probably remain where they are. France are taking a nose dive. Brazil is dropping to at least 3rd place, Arg. might stay on top or take 2nd.
Well the Italians need to be put back in their place after that false WC 2006. Either way I agree with you about Germany. They seem to be the most inclined to take it all the way.
