Italy - they're wc win was a "fluke" but they overcame and almost unstopable german team and any team that wins the wc should be atleast in the top 3 4. Germany - they're form at the world cup and after 5. Argentina - dont got much to say bout them 6, 7, 8 goes to England, Holland or whoever.
Italy had a tough time with newcomers Ghana, was outplayed by the US, had to cheat their way past Australia, and tied France, having to provoke Zidane in order to fuck with France's morale and win a penalty shootout(they lost 3 World Cup shootouts in a row, 90, 94 and 98 against the exact same French with Zidane on the field). If they had played England(who were tougher and bigger than a very physical US), Portugal, Holland or Argentina instead of the Ukraine, would they still have won it? Brazil had an ugly World Cup but they seemed to have regained their form since then. Since France clearly has their number, I'd rank them as #1.
