Thanks eddie. I waited until my 10th anniversary of supporting Chels to get it. I figure by 20 years I'll have my entire back covered. ;)

Hey there CFC! You're right about the currently active bit but rest assured that you're not the only lassie around here ;) I'm Jopee, never mind my age and I'm a suffering wife of a non-footie mad hubby and a mum of a soon to be 4 yr old.

And after seeing him up close last Saturday, I might just start my own Paulo Ferreira appreciation soceity... the boy is adorable :D

Hi. I am also a female fan, but (as you can tell by my number of posts) I am not a very active poster. I have a question for those of you familiar with Nevada Smith's...does it get crowded? I am going to be in NY this weekend and want to see the game, but I will be with people who probably won't feel like standing around in a crowded bar. So, I guess my real question is whether or not getting a table will be hard to do.

Yes, it gets pretty crowded. I couldn't even get into the Real - Barca game. :(
To be fair, its not all THAT crowded inside (at least by my measurement of bars), but I would suggest getting there a half hour ahead of time.
Failing Nevada Smiths, you could go to McCormick's (which isn't too far away, in Gramercy, iirc) or to the Red Lion, which is in the village.
Oh, and I think the Parlour on the upper West Side will show it too.

Thanks. That's good to know. I personally don't care about crowded bars, but I do care about not getting in to the bar at all!

Be aware though that the NY Blues are advising people to get in early. We have a lot of people coming from around the country. I heard for the Real-Barca game there was about 100 people outside wanting to get in.

I'll be there!! Us BigSoccer posters should wear something to differeniate ourselves so we can say hello. I know it's kind of weak and immature but it's an idea.

Ok then, I'll take your opinion, you were there. I just went by what I heard from them.

I'll probably have my Zola shirt too, jeans and Samba's. Unless my "I hate Gooners" or "Like Scousers, I love Robben" shirts come in. In which case I'll be wearing one of them. I'm 6'1'' and about 190lbs. You can't miss me.

I might be there too. If so, I'll have an Autoglass shirt and jeans on.

Well, I unfortunately don't have any Chelsea shirts and since I'm a girl, I'll probably change my mind about what I'm wearing 100 times between now and then. Maybe I will wear my Ajax jersey. Is that wrong to do if I'm supporting a team that has two former PSV players?

You should have a shirt!! If my fiance has one then there's no excuse you shouldn't!! And she hate sports. Somehow I got roped into shopping after the game because I stupidly told her the Eagles weren't on until 8:30 Sunday night.

Yeah, there really is no excuse. I should get one right now, but not a jersey. If I'm going to get a jersey, I might as well wait until they change sponsors. By the way, you might as well not bother with the Eagles game. They are going to kill the Redskins anyway.

Dunno about that.. yes, they look bad, and yes, we have a crap record, but I believe in karma, therefore the Eggles are going down in flames Sunday night. ;)

Good thing you're a Chels fan, eddie... :D

Ahhh...this is too funny. The Redskins FINALLY scored over 20pts in a game last week for the first time all season...and did it against a crappy Giants team. The Eagles scored like 49 on the second best team in the conference!! This game is going to be over by the first quarter. You watch, end of the first quarter it will be 17-0.

I got Catherine a simple pink shirt at the Bridge that has the street sign on it with:

    Chelsea Football Club
    Stamford Bridge
    Fulham Road
    London SW6 1HS

It's just about the hottest thing she owns...mmmmm
