I was going to say something about that, but Razov stomping on Jay Heaps last year, as well as the Revs knocking us out of the playoffs, gives it some weight. And that's before you even consider Rusty Pierce and Joey Franchino. Later, COZ

Re: 11/11/03 - Chicago Media discovers the FIRE [R] As much as that would be really cool and I actually wouldn't doubt the move given the current state of things in Hawkland, the Hawks-Dead Wings game would never have been televised. Blackhawks home games are not televised by order of Bill "It Hurtz" Wirtz. And BTW, the RedEye generally (compared to other chicago papers and relative to the amount of coverage other teams get in their paper) has covered the Fire pretty well this year, given their demographic. I don't think I've seen the fire advertise much if at all in it though.
Nice!! So you'd have to eat 300,000 bowls of the leading fiber cereal to equal the fiber content of Wes Brown.
I sure as hell don't like 'em, do you? Fire Rivalries (in order) 1. Dallas 2. Metro 3. LA 4. *NE* 5. DC 6. KC 7. SJ 8. Colorado 9. Columbus
A big thumbs up These are great articles form these two guys. Well deserved but it's really nice to hear it from the Tribune. Thanks Mike and Chris!!!
If we (KC) beat you in Los Angeles next week do we get to move up the list? I guess it's a good thing that we're at least ahead of Tampa and Miami.
KC might be ahead of DC, those are the two I though most about, but DC games are usually a little more dicely, which isn't to say that we dislike you less than DC... The question you need to ask youself is when Chicago beats SJ at the HDC in two weeks, will you promise to get good pictures?
Ahh, Andy, Andy, Andy. I'll stipulate that your lot can do in the 'Quakes. Tony Meola had to have the game of his life to stop us in 2000 (22 shots, 10 Saves). We've owned him ever since.
I really feel bad for Kansas City. No, seriously. They are in a no-win situation. They have to go to San Jose and beat a team on the biggest high of their history in front of their home crowd in a one-off match. And should we get past New England and they get past San Jose, well, I pity them more. They will have the full force of payback for 2000 fall squarely on their heads, and with no Tony Meola c. 2000 to save them. The burning to avenge 2000 can not be overstated. It's really sad, and for such a systematic and emotional execution of the team on international tv...well for their sake I hope they fall in the semi.
My feelings on our vanquished foes, and those on the next week's list: Dallas - used to be an interesting matchup I guess Columbus - I laugh at the team, I loathe Ohians DC - can Ray be our new spokesman? I think he's unemployed. Colorado - Rocky Mountain Oysters? KC - we've made their keeper cry, and that's that Metro - B.O.B. rues the day, so I'm satisfied SJ - I wonder what our Ultras think of theirs? NE - They're asking for it, big time. LA - I HATE everything about LA, including their bunkass team, masturbatory stadium, aging primadonna has-been players, stupid team name, ugly uniforms, and Arnold Schwarzenegger. *Note: The views expressed above are solely those of the author and do not represent the opinions of MDSC. What a load of dung. They are the enemy, the hell with 'em. I mean, when did you ever start feeling sorry for another team? Where's Liam?
More or less agreed. I hate LA and the Mutts. I severely dislike Dallas and NE. I don't care for DC. I am indifferent when it comes to Colorado, KC, and SJ. And I couldn't care less about Columbus.
They said something about the Fire hating the Revs on NBC news as well. They showed a clip of orlando perez saying something about the match up(didn't hear it). After the clip, the sports guy said "wow, tell us how you really feel" and "so, basically, these teams hate each other". As long as it drums up interest for the game, it's fine by me.
Boca was on CBS 10 o'clock news last night. I don't remember what he said, but the graphic named him Justin Mapp. They didn't fool me though - no one gets nothing past me.
