The Czech Republic sent a specialized chemical weapons cleanup team, and I believe that Albania sent a token force of 100 or so troops. Also, you'll likely see (well, you won't see them, but they'll be there) special operations troops from places like Denmark, Romania, and Italy, plus naval and air support from a variety of (mostly European) countries. Alex
Heh heh heh. You're sig's ************in' hilarious. God, what a bunch of dolts those jackassiacle hippies are.
Italian troops have been, however, replacing US troops in Afghanistan and their special forces are assisting in the search for Bin Laden (assuming he's still alive).
Did he say they would'nt be sent to Iraq, or they wouldn't be sent to aid the war effort? If it was the former, that wouldn't rule out naval support, or things like in-flight refueling. Romania has a very elite special forces team, the "Red Dragons", who saw action in Afghanistan and likely will be in Iraq as well, altho I haven't seen it confirmed anywhere. Danish special forces also saw a lot of action against Al Qaeda, which is why I imagine these 2 countries will be sending spec ops teams. Alex
Great to see that ths Brits and Aussies are appreciated in all this. An American here is not even sure on who is fighting with them.
Re: Re: Who are our Allies? those in the know realize that britain has up to 40,000 toops and australia has up to 200 elite sas troops <and upwards of 2000 troops> in the region fighting side-by-side our troops and we all appreciate the help...
Re: Re: Who are our Allies? The original post mentioned the Brits and Aussies before it was edited, that's why I didn't mention them. Alex
Re: Re: Re: Who are our Allies? Agreed. Glad for the help, and thank you. And thanks to the Italians for their efforts in Afghanistan.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Who are our Allies? Yep, thanks to all our allies but especially the Brits and Australians. Alex
Lastort. No capital S. Laugh all ya want. I've got a light in my window, and I'll keep it there every night until this thing is over.
So that you can "...show the way home to the young men and women who are on their way to Iraq?" What the hell is that supposed to mean, anyway?
That's where the quote came from. Absolutely a hillarious read. I highly suggest anyone with a sense of humor to read it. Oh, and people that take it seriously, too, of course.
Ashcroft has outlawed symbolism now? Or did the RNC simply issue a blast fax against it? Can I go back and retroactively mock the people who were tying yellow ribbons everywhere, and flying American flags from their cars, as if any of that stuff made a damn bit of difference, either?
I found a photo of your cousin in afghanistan. btw not only no troops in irak also no equipment and no use of the bases in italy to attack irak directly. And still he's supporting you. Thus spoke Pontius Pilate berlusconi.
Doing your bit for God and country by burning up additional resources in your quest for peace. Nice job. Why don't you leave all your lights on and open your doors to air condition the neighborhood? Make your dad real proud.
Why worry about additional resources? When the war is over, it'll be free oil for everyone. My dad is more opposed to this war than I am.
FWIW--Ari Fleischer said the coalition has a total population of over 2 billion and represents every major religion on earth, which leads me to think India is one of those unnamed partners. Alex
