Soccernet reporting that Liverpool are interested in Kezman, though from reading BigSoccer, I've learned not to trust what the players or their agents report to the media. ;^) Is this being reported by the club? And, will Kezman help the club - particularly in light of the fact that Cisse appears a certain summer transfer?

Nothing came from the club, but Kezman himself said that Liverpool are interested. I think Kezman is our back up plan for if Owen leaves. Maybe the fact that we are linked to Kezman shows that contract talks aren't going well with Owen.

I would hate to see Owen go, but Kezman could be the ideal replacement. He is a great goal scorer and I think he would link up well with Cisse to form a very good strikeforce.

I still don't think that Owen will leave. If Owen stays with the club, Kezman to Liverpool is highly unlikely with Cisse definelty coming.

There wasa blurb about Kezman on Sky tonight. It seems he's the one who is courting Liverpool trying to raise interest. Liverpool are keeping quiet at this stage.

I think Kezman is realizing that his stock has fallen. In January he was talking about how he would love a move to Man United or Barcelona. He thought he could go where ever he wants. But recently the only teams he has been linked to have been the likes of Birmingham and Fulham. All of a sudden Liverpool seems like a good option for him, while it was never his first choice.

That was my kneejerk reaction too. I've only seen him play in one or two matches, so I can't comment too much on how well he'd fit in, but I certainly think he's an Owen replacement candidate, not a part of our routine summer grocery list.

Kezman will be a great player for whatever club signs him. Its just not going to be for Liverpool because we don't need him since Cisse is coming. Just because Houllier's signings have failed in the past doesn't mean that players from smaller leagues won't be sucessful.
