Thank goodness, another Scottish DP. We only had two in the league, and when you're targeting those high priced imports, everyone knows Scotland should be the place you look.

Yes, time will tell. But still . . .

Well, if a team is going to spend on a DP, those DP players are going to have to come from somewhere.

And apparently affordable/free shopping can be found in a market that is having some of its own difficulties.

To what other countries should a team like Vancouver specifically be looking for DPs, now or in the future?

    agreed.

Haven't you lot just signed robinson from middlesborough? He was a class act at championship level, box to box beast in midfield, one of the best players I watched last season. Oh and kenny millers ok as long as you play him on the shoulder of the last defender anywhere else he's crap.

Not a glamorous name, but the wikipedia resume looks alright.

10 goals in the Championship isn't horrible. Scored a couple in Euro 2012 qualification last year, including one against the Czechs.

seems like a solid move, Whitecaps need another MF and they are basically set for the run.

Underwhelming.......losing Chumiento and LeToux and adding Miller doesn't seem to be a net positive for the team. Maybe it will work out, but I think Rennie is going the wrong direction with these changes.

Miller is the kind of player who should do well in MLS. He has much more left in the tank than a guy like Boyd, and even Boyd has been arguably worthy of his DP status with his decent goal tally.

The downside is that Miller is a fairly one-dimensional player (poacher), while LeToux showed the ability to play in a few different positions. With the recent emergence of Mattocks, I hope this move doesn't prevent him from getting more minutes, because he is quickly becoming one of the most exciting young players in the league.

What makes you think that he has more left in the tank than Boyd? Boyd is 4 years younger.
