Blade Runner is by far the best film of the three, but Hollywood hasn't even begun to touch what made Dick great. What was removed from Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? during the filming of Blade Runner was, basically, all of the sense of caritas that set PKD apart from most other 20th century writers. With that gone, we have noir (an atmosphere completely absent from the book, btw) and Rutger Hauer saying, "Time to die."

Total Recall is a romp. Fun. But without the depth of the story.

Minority Report gave itself a pass on the single most important issue raised by its science-fictional conceit: that they have enslaved these people and would enslave more like them if such were found. Rather than deal with that, they turned the whole film into a car chase.

I'm interested to see what Messrs. Soderbergh and Clooney do with A Scanner Darkly.

I felt Total Recall was the most imaganitive, most thought provoking and best directed. IMHO.

&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp It's interesting how the lead actors in each of the films (Harrison Ford, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Tom Cruise) have a different style from one another, yet all three do a good job in their respective film. :)
