Which two forwards do you go with?

Okay. I know that it seems like Razov and Faria are a given. However, with the recent form of Jaqua with the U-20's (?) and Ralph with the Fire in pre-season, does Faria really have a lock on that starting spot or does he have to earn it in pre-season? I would be VERY tempted to experiment a lot with our forward situation. Hopefully Jaqua can find that national team form with the Fire and Ralph can continue this form into the regular season.

Also, does it scare anyone else that our two forwards might just be the two biggest hot heads in the league? I can't help but have nightmares about those two getting into practice field bitch slap fests. Hopefully Sarachan can discipline them enough so that we don't se any epic temper tantrums. Maybe one of the younger forwards is a bit more composed.

i dont know id prolly go with faria up top with ralph in the begging because of razovs suspenions. that will give those two players to prove themselves in a game that means something. Then make your decision from there.

I disagree. I think we should have Ante and Dipsy up front for the first three games.

That'll be real difficult with Ante on the bench. I mean he's good, but not THAT good. That and the fact that Dipsy is lacking an ankle.

Wish these threads would comment only on the subject !

With Razov out for several weeks (with suspension and injury) and Faria yet to show up at camp, I expect that we will see plenty of several of our forwards during the early part of the upcoming season.

This is good for our team in the long-run, as we will have a chance to see how the new forwards will perform under the pressures of a game.

I still think the real issue for our team this season is who will replace Peter as our play-maker.

Thanks Jeremy. That would be an interesting attack, with Beasley, Armas, Gray and Marsch in the middle.

    Don't forget about Dipsy...

This could be the breakout year for Dipsy Selolwane.

Razov and Faria should be a lock for starters with Dipsy as the first backup for either. Remember Dipsy's credentials last year coming out of college? Top goal scorer in NCAA and he's yet to play real minutes for the Fire.

The Fire may need Jaqua and Ralph to fill in more with Kelly Gray in the attacking midfielder position where there is more of a need for depth.

I think Dipsy already had his "breakout" this offesason.

We won't be seeing him till midsummer at the earliest.

    How About 3 Forwards

    Derek, Nigel, and David.

We could call them the "Break Like The Wind" Line.

Ooooh. Radical. The old 3-4-3 formation. I told you I was on to something by dredging up a couple of Sting old timers.

If only the drummer would have lived. Let's face it offense is the fun part of the game. Use the old Loyola Marymount, 2-4-4 formation. Let's see some action!!!!! Defense be damned.
