Like Spartacus said remember last year....

and so in that vein...if the unimaginable happens..I'll support the Fire in appreciation of the amazing support they gave us in Columbus. I promised a Fire guy that I met there that if the situations were reversed I'd yell for them!!

    Interesting - nobody posted LA.

Actually, while Quakes would not necessarily be my second choice if LA went down, I would root for quakes before I would stoop to cheering for Fire or DCU. I guess that's because LA has a history with Fire and DCU, whereas Quakes have a history only with LA.

&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp In that vein: collegiately, whatever the sport, I root for my alma mater - San Jose State University (GO SPARTANS!!!).

&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp As for professional teams, I root for:

Probably Columbus or the Metros for the MLS Cup. Better yet, anyone except LA, Dallas, or Chicago.

Tough to pick between San Francisco or Oakland, though as a Westsider I am apt to be loyal to the Giants and 49ers. However, the Athletics and Raiders doing well is just as good.

Next to the Quakes (or Rays LFC), if they lose out, I'll follow the Sharks.

I think there's always the possibility that IF the Quakes DON'T make it, I'll cheer for LA just to keep my best and only-other-soccer-fan friend happy...he'd cheer for the Quakes if LA didn't make it, so it's only fair...

Ajax, Yankees even though I'm pissed at baseball right now, I don't watch NFL, and anything FSU or Auburn might be might be doing (I'm anti-Florida and anti-Alabama).

Hey man, you up to date with all the goings-on in Division3? I know its off-topic, but we're doing ace.

Gordon Watson rules. As if we have a player called Gordon........

I dunno who I'd root for. I like other players but no other team, really. I like Steve Ralston, but NE kinda bore me, as do Metro but I like Tim Howard a lot. Tha guy is almost as good as a wall. Fire have good jerseys (childish, I know, but true) and Crew have Brian West........he's quiet fast, dont u know.

I couldnt seriuosly root for anyone else, but that doesnt meen I'd stop watching it.
