With UEFA's decision to scrap the second group phase, it is becoming more and more difficult to predict a Champions League winner. I'll save my prognosticating for when the number of contestants narrows to four.

You know, I've seen that mentioned a few times, but never anything that resembles something like proof to convince my innocent senses. I know, "this is a messageboard you doodyhead, we can write whatever bullshít we want and say it's true nyah nyah" (man, have I found that out these last few days ) but for some reason I think that if Franco was still playing the dictator as a zombie these last few years, the transfers of (especially) Figo and Beckham (Barça already had an agreement with Manchester if I'm not mistaken) would be blamed on him as well. Instead of it being considered the 'football market at work'. Di Stefano is still a part of the club today, for some reason I wouldn't think a player that was 'forced' to sign for Madrid (also something I've read somewhere....out there....over the rainbow) would still willingly be part of the club today.
