I hate players that shoot off their mouth or talk trash during the game. Just be quiet, do your job.

 

Like, say, Chris Hovan? He'd be up on my list right now.

MLB: Sammy Sosa, Aaron Boone.
NHL: all the white ones
NCAA football: All the buckeye ones
NCAA basketball: That dude from Kansas that was one of the elf-guys in Lord of the Rings
NBA: Latrell Spreewell, Alan Iverson

Other sports: I can't, in good conscience, do anything but hate Pekaboo Street because of that gow-awful name.

Cheap-shot artists are the guys I hate. I actually LOVE elite players who also talk trash, like Sapp, Iverson, Terrell Owens, etc. If you don't want a guy to talk, stop him. I have a problem with the trash-talkers who aren't as good as they say they are.

NHL:
The entire Toronto Maple Leaf team - particularly Darcy Tucker, but really everyone. The dirtiest bunch of thugs, the whiniest bunch of whiners, and the floppiest bunch of divers in the entire league. No one outside of Toronto likes them.

College basketball:
Chris Duhon - most overrated player in college ball. Without Dahntay Jones that team wouldn't even be in the top 25.

Julius Hodge - actually said that his reputation would be the only thing that would keep him from winning ACC POY. Right, Julius - that and Josh Howard, Dahntay Jones, Steve Blake, Travis Watson, Rashad McCants, BJ Elder, Chris Bosh, etc. etc.

NFL:
Tra Thomas of the Eagles. A great OL, but also a dirty cheap-shot artist. Shocker - he went to Florida State.

 

You must really hate Michael Jordan and Larry Bird.

MLB: Don't really care enough to hate anyone. Maybe Pete Rose - I wish he'd shut up and serve his lifetime ban like a man. And Roger Clemens.
NBA: Isiah Thomas. Never liked him for some reason even though I actually liked some of the other Bad Boys like Dumars, Microwave Johnson and Rodman. Must be that smug smile.
NFL: Bill Romanowski, the entire Dallas Cowboys organization
Soccer: Francesco Totti

 

Hey, I'm not one of those little bandwagon Buckeye haters, you know. I was hating Ohio State when many of the OSUcks bashers were still hating Nebraska and Arkansas.

And like gocaps said, I hated Barnaby before he became a Ranger. Who knew agitators were so fun?

NFL: Don't follow too much but the big mouths like Randy Moss, Keyshawn Johnson, and Terrell Owens.

NBA: Alonzo Mourning, Shaq, Sam Cassell (game winning 3 against the Knicks in game 3 of the NBA Finals). I've lost touch with the NBA but I used to hate anyone on the Bulls, Pacers, and Heat. Special awards go out to Rik Smits, Reggie Miller, the Davis Brothers, Scottie Pippen, MJ, Zo, and PJ Brown.

i just find huggins to be an absolute joke. he might be a good coach but i have heard too many thing about the guy being a total prick and the fact he seems to recruit players who are thugs doesnt help at all...

I actually don't like Jordan. Always got the call or no call. Too much respect from the officials. Plus that everyone else liked him is another reason I don't care for him.

Bud Selig - all reasons above, and then some (I know he's not a player, but needed to express my dislike for this guy)

Also, UC is supporting a measure that will change the way graduation rate is calculated. As it is now, JC transfers are not included in that stat, but are counted as a senior. So if a team has four seniors - all graduating - but three of them are JC transfers, then their graduation rate is .250.

That's wrong.

 

I completely undersatand why people hate UC and Huggins and I won't try to defend him as a coach or the program itself.

That being said, I know Bob Huggins. He is one of the nicest, most generous human beings I have ever met. His children are completely respectful and well spoken, and his wife is a sweetheart. The family has helped out my charity a few times and he comes into the bar from time to time to eat. It really bothers me when people say that he's a prick off the court, as those people simply are misinformed.

One player on my hated list that surprises people is Dan Marino. Marino built the bulk of his stats with the awesome combo to Duper and Clayton at reciever. Once they were gone, he turned in to a big fat whiner. He was always blaming the Dolphins failures on the rest of the team. From a fans-eye-view, it always seemed to me that he was poor leader. Do remember any other "great quarterback" red-faced and screaming at his receivers on the field as much as Marino?
