Apples and oranges. Two different types of tourneys. That said, as a CCL fan, I will still be fascinated to see how the Copa MX plays out, seeing as Mexico hasn't had a cup tourney since....1997? I forget. Vamos Xolos!
Working on a story related to CCL. No crazy CCL sucks comments.. what's the real reason behind Copa MX being more interesting than CCL? Curios... CCL places the best of Mexico against the best of other countries... Copa MX {so far} looks like Ascenso MX care and Liga MX doesn't... what's exciting about that? Just curious about your opinion... my thoughts....the rest of the region's best would fit in the Ascenso MX. So the Copa MX is already on par with the CCL and then you add the rest of the Liga MX and the level goes up. I think that pretty much sums it up. And remember none of the Liga MX teams takes the CCL seriously until the final stages too. They play with reserves. So, there's not much difference there. Yeah, some of the other clubs might play at Liga MX level but not the entire CCL tournament participants. So far, I've enjoyed most of the Copa MX matches I've watched. Can't say the same of the CCL matches, some of those are really awful, a lot of them are meh and a handful are good.
Well at times. I was there at the Puerto Rico Islanders/Toluca game where Toluca lost and Toluca had everyone there. Then again Toluca supposedly the closest team out there and they lost to Lobos BUAP so they might just suck at everything cup related.
Copa MX all games were interesting from what I can gather, Concachampions only games involving Mexican are "good", specially the ones with all Mexican team in it, so I go with the local cup.
copa MX has better quality futbol. having to play against garbage MLS teams that hack away at your players and play bunker ball is not a display of good futbol also, many of la liga de ascenso teams are way better than most MLS teams... if the CCL didn't have any nad teams in it, then the quality of the tournament would skyrocket.
Enjoying the comments, seriously. I've been watching quite a few Copa MX games and I do like the competition. It looks like most Liga MX teams are fielding reserves, but this is because the schedule is so pushed in between league games.

Shit Tijuana ties the game at the last minute. Going to PKs All 3 games today went to PKs. Maybe we should start sending Ascenso MX teams to the CCL, they would probably still win the championship.
