Uruguay vs. Ghana was the kind of game that we get to watch once in a decade or so, filled with pure excitement and agony at every corner in the game and then came the unforgettable ending. I virtually had the TV in my face standing on my feet just inches away from the screen during that whole episode starting with the nonexistant foul call. By the time Suarez made the handball I am thinking, "ohhh what a smart move" then I remind myself a PK will be a sure goal. By now I was so disappointed and heart broken that I just didn't think either team should lose this one, then I hear this voice that tells me "have no worry, PK shall be missed." Next thing I know the ball hits the crossbar and goes out, next it's Suarez in the tunnel in the same joy and excitement as myself. I will never forget that moment.

Ok, maybe I don't feel that way because I didn't either watch that match live or support any team of the two.

Tell me about it... that was one of the hardest minutes of my life (since the ref said it was penalty until Gyan missed it ). Cant explain what it felt like, but i sure will never forget it.

My grandma almost did. We told her to stop watching and as she was getting up to get out of the living room, she walks by the TV just as the PK is being taken. I still saw it with the TV being big, but still. She ended up in the garage for the PK's.

I had a strange feeling that he was going to miss that PK and stayed sort of calm. I just never contemplated elimination. And during the PK's, I also knew that Maxi Pereira would miss the PK. Not because of his quality, which is very good, but I just knew.

I also knew what Abreu was going to do before I knew he would take it. I just knew him too well.

Im glad it was enjoyable for you guys, because every part of my body had a heart beat, including my dick (no joke)

    2 much information... :D

Yes, it was breathtaking. At the very moment Suarez did his handball, I was about to throw sth towards the TV just to make it unhappen. It was clear, that Ghana wouldn´t score in this PK, I don´t know why. But it was evident to me, somehow. And that Uruguay is a clever side when it goes to PKs, was evenly evident to me.
I just so much wanted Ghana to advance to the semis at that moment. And now I am eager to watch Uruguay against The Netherlands. It will be a low scoring game I guess. Unless the Dutch get an early goal, in which case the outcome could be similar as in Germany vs. Argentina.
