    The playoff table is set:
    LA vs. KC
    NE vs. Chi
    SJ vs. Columbus
    Dal vs. Colorado

Only four will survive the first round. Pick which ones. If you fee one of the first four seeds listed below will be upset, don't select it. If you feel they will win then select it. You can make up to four selections, which of course if you chose all four would mean you think all of the top four seeds will advance.

use the total number of votes to see how many possible votes could had for each option.... that will let you figure out which team is favored

huh, do you know how to understand this poll??

6 votes total... which means that 6 is the maximum number for each option

    in order:
5 (1 person voted for kc by abstaining)
3 (3 think chi will win)
3 (3 think clb will win)
4 (2 think col will win)

    get it???

No. Where did you get the 6 votes total. I don't see where the total number of people who voted is. All I see now is 46 total votes, which is the sum of all the votes for the first four seeds, which doesn't tell you very much.

    good lord

you have 4 things to vote on, the number of times each was selected is listed... the FIFTH number (below the first four and next to the 100%) is the total number of people who have participated in the poll

    i can't believe this

right now it says there have been 17 people who have voted...

Which Four MLS Teams Will Survive the First Round?
LA (no selection means you think KC will survive.) 13 28.26%
NE (no selection means you think Chi will survive.) 10 21.74%
SJ (no selection means you think Cbus will survive.) 12 26.09%
Dal (no selection means you think Rapids will survive.) 11 23.91%
    Total: 46 votes 100%

I don't have a fifth number in my poll that says that 17 people have voted. All I have is the fact that there were 46 total selected in the first four seeds. You must have a different sort of readout. I pasted my readout above.

i have no idea how you are getting 46, unless you are doing that yourself

so let me explain this once more for you, you really don't seem to be able to get it (how i am not sure)

    13/17
    10/17
    12/17
    11/17

why would it say 46 votes when each person can select each one???

to be honest, i feel that the poll is flawed in that it gives percentages based on the total number of selections (which is how you can see that it is not 46... as that would mean each person voted once or that each vote selected means the same and votes not taken don't mean anything)

17 different voters had 4 possible things to check

    13 checked the first one
    10 checked the second
    12 checked the third
    11 checked the fourth

    are you getting this yet??

someone else just voted, but it doesn't matter

so far all four favorites are still favorites

(oh yeah, this person made 2 selections to move it up to 48)

You're the one who's not getting it now. MY POLL READOUT IS DIFFERENT FROM YOURS. MINE SAYS 46, NOT 17. GET IT? THE 46 IS THE TOTAL OF ALL YES VOTES. IT'S A USELESS NUMBER BUT THAT'S WHAT COMES UP ON MY COMPUTER SCREEN. I'M NOT MAKING THIS UP. IT'S REAL. GET IT?

I know. I can't fathom how 31/37 are stupid enough to think that the Galaxy will upset KC.

It's not that I can't figure it out. It's just that for some reason my readout says that 31 out of 107 think that the Galaxy will upset KC. I don't get the number of 37 people voting anywhere.

When I go to this thread I get the red Eurosport screen rather than the yellow Bigsoccer screen. Maybe the red screen calculates it differently.

I wasn't making fun of you at all, just the morons that think the Galaxy has a prayer against KC and its secret weapon, Igor.

Here's how I interpret the poll:

Number of people who've voted so far: 53

    LA...KC.......NE...CHI.......SJ...CLB.......DAL...COL
    44....9..........37...16..........37...16..........25.....28

For example of the 53 people who've voted thus far, 44 have picked LA to win the LA/KC series while 9 have picked KC

Is it possible that moderators, premium members and ordinary members get different displays of the poll results?

[wav=rimshot]parrump pump[/wav] don't forget to tip your wait staff, I'll be @ the improv next week.

I'm suprised to see KC as such underdogs, I think san jose and the Wiz are the only teams that match up well w/ LA. I like both series to go the distance.

I hate L.A.and are pulling for K.C. to beat them, but I honestly don't think the Wizzers stand a snowball's chance...

    Go Igor!

I think I figured out the problem. I just now voted. Before voting, when I clicked of "view results", I got the sum of all yes votes for some reason. After voting I am getting the total number of people voting.
