Which match caused the biggest regret 06/07

Definitely Messi goal in stopage time...

 

Ther Barcelona match... they would have taken 3 home point away from them while we will gain two more. That match turned Real Madrid into a fighting machince and the team only lost once sine then. While Barcelona seemed to have sunk after that game, they would have sunken further if they lost that match. We will have been leading by a point or two by now.

 

The home loss to Levante. RM could really use those 3 points.

 

Yeah agreed, that and the 0-3 to Recre are both unforgiveable results.

I choose Levante match. Recre were motivated that night while loosing to levante was just not acceptable.

Drawing with Barca is by far the biggest regret but then again its El Classico, anything is possible.

 

I believe that the draw in Camp Nou could prove most detrimental to our Liga hopes. Although we're generally not expected to take all 3 points at Barca, given how the game panned out and the amount of chances we created and missed it was a massive blow to drop those 2 points in the last 90 seconds. What a scalp that would have been to take all 3 points from our biggest rivals in their own back garden. The following game for Barca looked like that late Messi goal gave them a great deal of confidence as they thrashed Recrea 0-4. Although we still gained momentum despite only drawing the match we would have been top of the league and had a great pyschological advantage over our direct rivals. My stomach still churns at the possibility we may have to rue those missed chances in that game.

Home defeats to Levante, Celta and Recrea are catastrophic but when you loo at when they came in the season they haven't affected the form of the team now. Had one of thes results occured amid our run of 6 wins in 7 games then we could have capitulated.

Theroetically had we won one of these games it would do the exact same thing as a win in Camp Nou and that is put us top of the table. However, I'm under the opinion that there is a pyschological battle in football and I don't know whether or not Barca coudl have recovered from that defeat especialy after going out to Liverpool in the very same week.

 

The Recreativo match. It doesn't matter whether they have extra motivation or not. Teams always are well motivated against us. It was the fact that our players didn't even look like they wanted to play.

Very disappointing.

 

The 3-3 draw at the Camp Nou, if it wasn't for that girly looking kid named Messi we would of won and been on top of the league now.

 

I'm a bit confused cause the thread title is my biggest regret, but the poll is the match that shouldn't have been lost. For me those two are different.

We shouldn't have lost to Levante. But my biggest regrets have to be the Sevilla loss ( we could've won that, i wasn't happy with the 1-1 ) and ofcourse the 3-3, we missed too many to come out with a draw

 

Definitely the 3-3 barca draw. If not for Messi, we would have been the leader of the league right now. Shit Messi!

 

I voted for the Racing game as it was the only match in which we lost points unfairly. I can't be too upset at the other results because it was our own doing - but that game was a complete scandal.
