suprised that with all the mentioning of Cleveland by Gerber & Co, that they aren't even in the top 5 in this poll. Personally I think it's very close between most of markets, but they have an apparently active prospective I/O, something not all of them can claim. Personally I see Cleveland & Houston first, then Rochester & one or three more soon after (Philly; OKC/Tulsa, Seattle?)

Miami, not Fort Lauderdale like last time.

Actually it doesnt matter, go back to Lockhart, we just need some people who know how to promote. Mark Cuban to resurrect the Fusion?

Na, the Fusion prob. wouldn't average over 10 k if they came back because no one would care about them anymore. I just wish we had a owner like Lamar or Phil with the big bucks who coulda held on to us. =\

So far according to the forum:
    Houston & Rochester in 2005
    Philly & OKC in 2006

or new SSS in N. Miami (unfortunately this
    is a long shot)

Single entity in part killed the Fusion.
Horrorbitch just dont have what it takes
to be a MLS team owner, and MLS novice
    management cronies all helped contraction.

    WP/BROWARD/MIAMI.. top 10 markets
in USA... need commited IO, and soccer
    knowledged commisioner.
Out with GarberNFLpinocchio :) since he took
over MLS attendance is diving, 2 teams were contracted, soccer quality went down the tube,
    10 teams w/8 team play offs..total joke,
hard core old timers, and hispanics are staying home.

    Fusion2001 :)

    WP/BROWARD/MIAMI ...4,000,000

The Fusion at Lockhart were a total joke... lowest ticket prices in the league AND worst attendance.

    Failure should NEVER be rewarded.

Put up or shut up. Maybe Cuban could start a season ticket drive... or talk about the financing of a stadium in Miami... absent that, Miami/Ft.Laud. doesn't even deserve to be in the poll...

    Yet… my friend, at Lockhart
fan per seat equaled least in local $ loses..
    It was the …..
Single Entity that killed the Fusion. along with
    the uncommitted owner, and mismanagement
    by MLS ……………
    NOT the 11,000 fans…

As long as some of the novice US soccer fans,
don’t think that 10,000 fans at soccer games,
are is good enough…!!?!?!??? success is
    a long way ahead

    I wish I understood your mentality… ?
It is OK to loose more $, in other markets !?
some are bigger, some are smaller,
some have more, and some have less fans than
LockhartSSS, had … this is a puzzle to some

I thing the FloridaPhobia by MLS, and some
    none nonLoco’s… stems from ignorance.
Move here, and learn… you will agree..

Although, I’ve answered… why do YOU think
    MLS attendance is down ???

    Horrorbitch had no interest, reason,
vision, or the deep pockets to support
    the 2 mil. AUTOMATIC loosing
proposition, in the rest of the MLS union..

We agree on one thing Rufnex
new committed owner, with deep pockets,
    would help.

    Bring back the Fusion,
will add credibility to the 10 team MLS..

Amen Brother! All good points and it's all the truth. They should have gotten rid of San Jose not the Fusion.

USRufnex hasn't seen the stats and is misinformed. It's too bad everybody jumped on the "We hate Florida bandwagon". We had something special going on here, attendance was up, we were the only ones making a profit, etc, etc.

Getting rid of our team was a mistake. Bring back the Fusion!

According to the poll thus far, Houston and Rochester are the two winners. That sounds about right since it will be a big-tv market, and a smaller market but with its own SSS. But i am predicting that it will be Seattle, not Houston. (or at least I am hoping).

Miami is just a crummy sports city all the way around. There are markets far more likely to actually support their team.

Would REALLY like to Seattle get one. They have everything they need except the most important thing.

There is just nobody around here who is interested in putting up the $$$$$$.

Considering the attendance at Sounders matches, despite moving to Seahawks Stadium, I think it's sufficient to say that there's just nobody around here who is interested.

Would anyone not be suprised if they added more than two teams in 2005 (say, 4)?

Rochester will have a stadium...Cleveland could apparently have a stadium by then if given word on a franchise...OKC/Tulsa should have a renovated stadium...and Houston/Philly/Seattle would be playing in the local NFL stadiums. Then the unlinkely dark horses of Minnesota, Portland, etc....

I'm not saying that is likely or anything, rather curious on the suprise factor if it did happen, but I guess an outside possibility if MLS was real ambitious and planned this out....

    Nah,

He's just a disgruntled Fusion fan.

You should have seen the "SE Florida" thread that was in this section.

No worries .. the thread is still around ….

With the 10 teams, the poor soccer quality,
the attendance decreasing in a few
places… hard to find SSS, and the
long tem choices for new expansion !?
    Fusion2001 looks better and better

still how I see it goin down ;)

Seriously, finally Some sort of word has come down and it could set up further rounds of expansion....
    Houston, Cleveland (or OKC)
    Rochester, OKC (or Cleveland)

The real interesting thing is what order the expansion slots will be filled after the first 4, with these cities all possibly getting near future slots:
Philly, NYC, Seattle, Portland, Minneapolis, Toronto (Florida and LA possible alternates)....

That would put MLS @ 20....and I think you're at the settling point for MLS for a few years....
