Kluivert and Makaay has worked best so far Haven't seen Makaay and Ruud play together yet, so can't judge that pairing.
There has been talk of Kluivert going to Manchester United, or RVN going to Barcelona. If those two match up and play together in a club for a couple of years, Holland will be deadly in the next WC. They might even have a chance to win!
i definitely think kluivert and ruud would be devastating, and i would really like to see these two together up front for holland.
WOULD be devastating? umm they have been the choice for quite some time now. anyway i would love to see van hooijdonk play but i dont see how you could justify playing him, and rightfully so. i think holland should make a bid for a rule change, be able to list one player who can be subbed in and out an infinite amount of times, that way P-Air could be subbed in for every free kick. anyway i would like for holland to at least switch up the squad a little, recently i have only seen makaay play in one game for the oranje and none for van hooijdonk. right now you can't argue with makaay's numbers nor ruud's, but i dont see kluivert being taken out...soo idk? lol
Kluivert has to be in it, he is perfect for the Dutch NT. But not as a midfielder..... And since he can't play along Ruud and Makaay has his best form ever it's logical to me. Van Hooijdonk just sucks. Only thing he can do is kick in some free kicks, just as Van der Vaart can. So Kluivert/Makaay
I voted for Ruud van Nistlerooy and Patrick Kluivert beacause they have been very effective for Holland. Haven't really seen van Nistlerooy and Makaay play together that much.
No, they havn't been so effective, really. It just doesn't work. And because RvN never played as good at the Dutch NT as he plays at ManU and Makaay/Kluivert did work well I want to see them play together.
Makaay/Kluivert played one game together v.Portugal and Holland didn't even win that game! When Kluivert and van Nistlerooy play together they score most of the goals Holland score.
Makaay/Kluivert also played together in another friendly before that game (which they won) in which it was shown that this pair works, much better together than Kluivert with Ruudje has in all the games they've played together for Holland.
wow! this is a tough one i picked RVN & makaay on current form, but that is certainly subject to change - if patrick moves to manU he could easily pass makaay, but i do NOT want to see him in midfield
