I seem to recall a similar question being asked before. In any event, if the criteria is appearances in the World Cup it has to be Jamaica as in that group only they have qualified for a World Cup in the past 10 years. T&T never have, Honduras not since 1982, Canada not since 1986.

Honduras's #1 achievement in the past 10 years was probably making the 2000 Olympics, and I believe that out of these 4 only they have done so in the past 10 years. Canada's is the 2000 Gold Cup win (and once again, they are the only team out of the 4 to do so).

I think the most significant tournament and where the real strenghts adn weaknesses of teams are showned is the world cup qualifiers.

The gold cup is important too.. but it cant beat the home and away series. Also one team can have a bad game in the gold cup and that would mean its out.. but one game in the qualifiers can be overcomed afterwards. Lets take a look a some results.

    Honduras 4th, Jamaica 5th, T&T 6th. WCQ 2002

    Jamaica 3rd, Canada 6th. WCQ 1998

10 years ago i think canadian football was ahead of both Jam and T&T. Jamaica has managed to finish 5th and 3rd in the last 2 qualifiers... so I think Jamaica has done the improvement.

One cant forget Canada win in the Gold Cup.. but with all due respect I dont think they had the best team and got lucky on some occassions with their very defensive football. This style of football keeps them competitive to some extend but it will not make them break thru and become a dominant force. Problem is this kind of football is good enough for them to have reasonable success making dramatic changes not necesary. I hope u guys understand what i am saying.

T&T has been the one with the least development..

Another way to look at it is who would you most not want to play against if you had to win a game in qualifying. Maybe Honduras?

I gotta put my money on Jamaica as the #4 team in Concacaf, with Honduras a close 5th, but that's almost a tie...depends on which Jamaican team shows up on the day really...and I just can't get excited about Canada....I do like those late night movies on TNT though.....

Your reasoning is correct but this is not the question at hand. What Reggae Boy is asking is which team has improved the most from 1993-2003. Honduras has always been reasonably good. Meanwhile the other teams have never been known to be as good as they are now.

In fact Honduras had a slump after being one of the top team in the 1980s.

That's not what Reggae Boy is asking smart guy, his question was wich one made the greatest achievements in the last 10 years.

In my opinion, besides Mexico & USA nobody in Concacaf has made a "great" achievement. If I had to pick one of those four to have made the most or more "mentionable" achievements than the others would probably be Honduras considering these:

    1. Olimpics 2000
    2. Copa America
    3. Beat Mexico & USA in last qualifiers
    4. Finished Above any of the other teams listed in WCQ

    BORICUA!!!

No, I mean Canada. I've always considered that country to be a better version of the USA (not, of course, in footballing terms).

  11. I dunno why but Canada almost always beats Jamaica. I think they are our only rivals! Well for me canada is jamaica's biggest rival because i live in canada and they only show canada's games here and when they beat jamaica i feel embarassed infront of my friends because they don't really care about soccer and i keep telling them how jamaica is gonna crush canada and then they lose:( We even lost 4-0 once that would have been embarassing but luckily none of my friends know about this:D
