It would be Real Madrid. Look at the following players who ever played for them:Alfredo Di Stefano, Ferenc Puskas, Emilio Butragueño, Hugo Sanchez, Figo, Zidane, Ronaldo, Roberto Carlos.

    Other great teams:

Barcelona: Maradona, Johan Cruyff, Schuster, Romario, Ronaldo, Rivaldo, Stoickov.

Batern Munich: Beckanbauer, Gerd Muller,Rummengge, Klinsman, Matthaeus, Papin, Maier, Kahn.... basically every great German players of the last 30 years.

Just give me the Milan of the early 90's and I'll be happy.

Judging from the title, I'd say Man U, only because of all the drama.... (terrible refernece to the TV show "Dream Team", coming soon to FSW)

but if you're saying at the age they were actually playing for the club it would be Real Madrid. Any club with a good history would be too good to really distinguish though.

    Interesting idea.

For me the top European teams would be (in no particular order):

Madrid - Puskas, Di Stefano, Kopa, Zamora, Zidane, Rial, Gento, Del Sol, Amancio, Breitner, Pirri, Butragueno, Netzer, Hugo Sanchez, Ronaldo, Figo, Marquitos, Michel, Molowny, Santa Maria etc.

Milan - Van Basten, Gullit, Rijkaard, Baresi, Maldini, Shevchenko, Gren, Nordahl, Liedholm, Hamrin, Altafini, Rivera, Schiaffino, Schnellinger etc.

Barcelona - Kubala, Romario, Ronaldo, Maradona, Cruyff, Czibor, Figo, Kocsis, Krankl, Neeskens, Segarra etc.

Bayern - Beckenbauer, Muller, Maier, Hoeness, Breitner, Brehme, Matthaus, Rummenigge etc.

Man Utd - Schmeichel, Best, Charlton, Law, Edwards, Crerand, Cantona, Robson, Keane etc.

Juventus - Sivori, Boniek, Charles, Boniperti, Baggio, Piola, Cabrini, Del Sol, Tardelli, Rossi, Ferrari, Haller, Orsi, Platini, Zidane, Scirea, Zoff etc.

Inter - Facchetti, Mazzola, Matthuas, Meazza, Passarella, Ronaldo, Peiro, Rummenigge, Luis Suarez etc.

Liverpool - Dalglish, Souness, Keegan, Toshack, Clemance, Hansen, Rush, Barnes, Beardsley etc.

Honved - Puskas, Bozsik, Hidgekuti, Czibor, Kocsis etc.

Ajax - Van Basten, Cruyff, Neeskens, Rijkaard, Haan, Krol etc.

I think you would have to trank Madrid at the top of the pile, with second very close between Juventus, Milan and Barcelona.

nah i was just going by if they played there. like if some player went to a club at 35yrs old and sucked by then you could still use them in reference to when they were at their best.

actually i got the term dream team from the '92 US basketball team.

saying how many great players have been around since '95 i would have to say DC United would have to be one of the top contenders for best dream team ever, at least imo.

sorry had to do my impression of the MLS fan who is gonna say this eventually.

Arsenal and Tottenham should be added as well.

Not to mention a plethora of South American teams.

Just using players from 1987-2003 season, I think Milan has best abundance of talent come through San Siro than any other club. Just look:

    First team:
    Rossi
    Tassotti - Nesta - Baresi - Maldini
    Donadoni - Desailly - Rijkaard - Gullit
    Van Basten - Shevchenko

    Second Team:
    Galli
    Panucci - Costacurta - Galli - Kaladze
Rui Costa - Pirlo - Albertini - Savicevic
    Baggio - Weah

Honorable Mention: Abbiati, Viera, Davids, Boban, Kluivert, Bierhoff, Rivaldo, Inzaghi, Redondo, Ancelotti, Leonardo, etc...

I'm sure I missed many players but these are the ones that come to mind who have played in the last 15 years. I don't want to include the great players who played before '87 such as Nordahl, Altafini, Rivera, Shiaffino, etc..., because I didn't see any of them play.

    What? No Michael Laudrup ?

  15. No Andy Cole for Utd? He had a better strike rate than Dennis Law.

I would say it is between Milan and Real Madrid. If you look at united they really haven't had that many great players. Outside the current era, Best, Law,Charlton, Edwards.
