I'm looking for cleats with great cushion since i've got shin splints. I will be an offensive player so copa mundial is not an option.

Is the ctr 360 maestri II good for this? Please come with suggestions!

Yes, if you get copas you will immediately be made to play in defense. It's a well known law of the game.

The nature of boots is that they aren't well cushioned. If you want cushioned boots you will have to add an insole of some variety. Personally, my shin splints only stopped when I finally got custom orthodics which I wear in all my shoes (not football boots or running shoes though).
Find and treat the cause, rather than just the symptom.

I've got ortopedic insoles, i need a shoe where they fit though. They don't fit in my f50 adizero's (need more height).

I knew that these comments would come, but if there are any cleats that has good cushion other than those i'd appreciate if you could mention them. I don't like the cleats, i've tried them.

Have you had a look at the AG predators/adizeros/adipures ? I've never seen them in person (UK) but they look to have a layer of cushioning that may help you. http://www.soccer.com/IWCatProductP...=1&Ne=178&N=4294960675+572&Product_Id=4355673

Other than that, you could take your insoles to a shop to find boots that you like which also fit the insoles. Could be the best way. Shin splints really suck, good luck!

Tell me about it - i've just been diagnosed with shin splints in my left leg. So painful. If i dont wear the support they gave me it feels like my leg is going to give way when i play.

I switched up the insoles in my adizeros from the light to the comfort and although they arent brilliant insoles it has helped a bit. I want to get some otho insoles though. Just need to go somewhere and have my gait measured.

As for comfty boots - I'd sugges the CTR (although nobody can really comment on the new model which is due out in a week or so) tiempos used to have a really good insole in them so you might want to look at those.

Nope, they really don't have that much cushion, but they're still one of the best boots ever made. But of course they are better cushioned than vapors, f50s etc etc. The Maestri II has a really well-cushioned insole btw.

I've got orthopedic insoles which i will put in the shoes, just wondering if there's any difference in cushion if you use the same insoles in every cleat?

There will be slight differences due to the thickness/hardness of the outsole. but the bigger differences will be in the lenght of the studs, ie shorter studs will be more comfortable.

Shorter studs you'd be looking at some AG ground boots.

Well, like the girl said, AG boots would give short and/or comfortable studs, but you won't get much grip. The MD soleplate of the Mizuno Wave Ignitus II is something like a mix between FG and HG, and could be good for this purpose as long as you don't need that much grip, yet more than an AG soleplate would give. About the Ignitus, the insole there is horribly cushioned, worst ever in that regard so you'd need to change that one. They also fit wide in the forefoot, too wide for my narrow foot at least.

The Maestri IIs have a really well-cushioned insole and standard length studs (If I recall correctly), so you might wanna look into those if you need grip, don't wanna change insole or something like that.

Pato is right, if you are wearing AGs on grass and its dusty you wont get a very good grip. If i were you i'd probably go for some of the current model CTRs. You'd probably get them at a good price at the moment because the 3rd generation are due out in a week or so. I wore them on 3G turf and they were really comfy, they come with a really good insole and the blades offer good traction on 3G turf and hard grass.

I know you are just asking for our suggestions but the best thing i can suggest is go and try a few pairs on and see what suits your foot, if you find a boot that you like you can always pick up some extra cushion/ortho insoles to go in the boot. Insoles in current boots aren't great, so dont let your choice be narrowed down to the insole of the boot, because that can easily be changed. Have a boot that fits your foot well and has a nice touch then think about the insoles.

Pele Sports 1970's are super comfortable...they have an EVA + Poron insole and a dual density EVA wedge in the midsole similar to the Asics.
