Not that anyone is asking - well, actually, I am! Does anyone know if "Rocket" Roy Lassiter (or "Lights Out" if you prefer the promotional nickname he was given in season two of MLS) is still actively playing pro soccer or if he quit playing outright? Please let me know. Thanks.
He's in the A-League, with the Hampton Roads Mariners, aka the Virginia Beach Mariners. www.hamptonroadsmariners.com
Thanks a bunch for letting me know! I'll definitely be following them this season. I thought that maybe he was playing for a certain team in the Long Island Soccer Football League! ;-)
tennyson i thought i read in the portland papers recently that tennyson is trying to stick with an MLS team (the fire?) but if he doesn't make the cut, he'll play for the A-league portland timbers again...
He is imbeded with the 3rd ID sonwhere in Iraq. Part of MLS's new Iraq War coverage. He will be transmitting from a video phone at halftime of each MLS game.
The Where's McKinnely Tennison thread was probably the single most entertaining thread ever. It chronicled his journies through the netherworld of borderline Euro leagues. Hilarious.
He heard they were looting in Baghdad and high-tailed it over there to see if they'd take a personal check for an old Iraqi army truck.
Paul Bravo is a Rapids assistant coach. Tennyson has no team as of yet; was on trial with Chicago, but may very well end up in Seattle again.
