If it is not Chelsea, then it's hard to guess.
Barcelona don't need him and/or can't afford him. Have Xavi and Van Bommel already.
I doubt that they'd want him in Italy, either.
Real Madrid has Gravensen, Zizou, Figo (staying?), and Beckham. He could fit in there, but somebody would have to sit out. Plus, I can see Raúl dropping back to play midfield at some point if Robinho arrives.

HA! Yea right man....Gerrard will never play in Germany....most players wouldn't.....That would be too good to be true.

I see him going to Real Madrid. If he did go to Chelsea though there midfield would be unstoppable.

Go. Just go. I'm sick and tired of Gerrard. This is never ending. So, he's supposedly staying. For now. What then? The next time Liverpool have a bad result it'll be the same all over again. Get rid, cash in and lets sign some new blood.

This is freaky stuff! One second he's dying to go and the next he'd love to stay??

    So place your bets;

    It was a bluff
Didn't get as much money as he wanted
Liverpool refused to let him go (dunno if they can)
Reaction of fans/old memories came flooding back
He needs to check into an asylum (perhaps just bipolar as gomez suggested)
It was a dare with friends (either to just announce his departure or actual departure)

Feel free to add to the list.

    wtf....???

I think he'll stay one more year.

Can Liverpool sustain those type of wages for 3 or 4 years?

He wanted out last year iirc. But then quickly u-turned after the fans got on his back.

I think the angry response made him reconsider....

Liverpool finally but with a little skeptcism. Not sure what the motive was for his turn around and especially his agent($) . But while i was angry with his decision to quit yesterday iam all smiles at the moment. I do hope it gives Liverpool a boost for the start of the season.
Lets hope this transfer nonsense doesn't come back to haunt us again next year.

Now he says he will stay LOL

Having the possibility that the club he wanted to move to wont finish the deal, he backed off because he would probably end up in Liverpool and if he stayed after continuing to say he wanted to leave, there wouldnt be a very good environment.

Now he will stay in Liverpool, he asked "forgiveness", he has a better contract and everyone is happY! LOLLLL what a clown!!!

Well, that's just ridiculous. But I will say that Gerrard is slightly over-rated. This contract must make him the highest paid midfielder in England, but he's not the best. In fact, he would have trouble getting a regular starting job at Chelsea.

and what? So you have 3 world-class players needing to fit into two CM spots. Lampard is better than Gerrard and Jose likes defence to Makelele isn't going anywhere.

Gerrard going to Chelsea would make no sense for anybody.
