Where are we going to post about WPSL-Elite games and teams this year? I recommend the Mods open a new WPSL-Elite forum, with no sub-forums. The new forum should be at the same 'level' as the WPS forum and the W League and WPSL forum. Posts about the present and future of the WPS league can stay in the WPS forum. What do y'all think? P.S. I personally felt the WPS sub-forums for each team kinda broke up the spontaneous back and forth and divided the overall energy of the WPS forum. With a couple dozen or so regular posters, keeping all the action in one forum with multiple threads makes sense to me.
There's a thread for the Elite League in the WPSL/W-League forum. There's a fair amount of activity there, but not nearly enough to justify having a separate forum yet IMO. Yes, there are separate sub-forums for the three ex-WPS teams, but I think most people who are interested in following everything already follow each of those sub-forums well enough (I know I do).
When does the Elite season start? And how many teams will be part of it? I don't mind giving y'all a separate forum, but it may be a week or two or three before TPTB can create one, due to BS switching forum software and all. And, as SiberianThunder mentioned, I'd like to see how the traffic does.
It started last Thursday. There are 8 teams: Boston Breakers, Chicago Red Stars, WNY Flash, New York Fury, New England Mutiny, FC Indiana, Chesapeake Charge, Philadelphia Fever. Right now there's a thread for WPSL-Elite in general with 13 replies, one for the Red Stars with 9 replies (both in the W-League/WPSL forum), one for Boston in the Breakers WPS forum with 48 replies, and one for the Flash in their WPS forum with 18 replies. It might make sense to at least move all the threads to the W-League/WPSL forum.
I'll go ahead and request a new forum. If I get one, I'll move the threads to there. If not, I'll just move the threads to the W-League/WPSL forum. If anyone else has any suggestions, let me know. As someone else mentioned, I'd rather not have individual team forums atm, as it seems to limit the discussion.
