“It’s kind of crazy because who would have known I would end up with PSG - a team that my father has played for,” Weah said. “It could have been any other team, but PSG opened the door and it’s just such a coincidence that they wanted me. I took the opportunity with open hands and I appreciate it to this day. They treat me with much respect, with love and care. It’s basically a family. I love that about this club and I would love to stay here for years to come.”

"With hard work and dedication anything is possible," he said. "PSG have Neymar, Cavani and Kylian Mbappe leading the attack and they are doing very well. I would love to emulate them at the senior level. When I am ready and when the coach (Unai Emery) sees that I am ready, hopefully, I will be given a call-up to the first team." he signed off.

Timothy went 90 and is credited with the assist on PSG's 1st goal. Unfortunately, PSG had a meltdown in the last 20 minutes giving up 3 goals and acquiring 2 red cards - eventually losing 2 - 3
New profile: https://sports.vice.com/en_us/artic...-soccer?utm_medium=twitter&utm_source=dlvr.it At 13, Weah joined New York Red Bulls, but spent the summer in London training with Chelsea, whose defender Mark Guéhi remembers him as "a special player" and "always a big attacking threat." An offer from the London club never materialized, but soon after, during a trial with French side Toulouse, Weah caught the eye of PSG scouts, who invited him to join their U15 side.
golazo aside, there was little in his performance at the u17s that suggested anything meriting 'savior' hype
Could not agree more. Still think he’s better than Ayo, but he really looked like a striker playing as a winger. Even then, aside from that one game, he was pretty meh.
He seems to be a bit of an Auba type, more finisher than creator, the guy to get that final touch on the ball but needs component pieces serving in top quality balls. I like him though and there is always a place for that.
You all should watch him more. Nobody should be considered a "savior" for our program, that's part of the problem. However, if you watch him play more, you'll realize he's much better than he showed in that team. The U-17's didn't utilize wing-play enough, and had a hard time creating in the final third. Don't write him off, trust me.
I’ve watched every televised and streamed u17 game for the last 2 years, as well as one or two PSG youth games. Great finishing ability, great shot, inconsistent in possession, not great in the build up, not much defensively. If you give him time and space, he can make some amazing plays. You definitely can’t write him off, but he has to get a lot better to ever be as good as people are making him out to be
