This kid is still just barely 17yo? Seems like he's been scoring goals indiscriminately across both the U17 and U19 age groups for ever now.

Playing in these games means he'd have to file a one time switch to play for France or Liberia down the road, correct?
Piece from US Soccer with video interview featuring Tim and his father: Five things to know about U-17 MNT striker Tim Weah
Profile at ASN: http://americansoccernow.com/articles/soccer-success-runs-in-the-family-for-timothy-weah Despite holding multiple passports, Weah says he never had any intentions of representing Liberia or his Jamaica. In fact, he was honored to have the chance to both play and score against Jamaica and even teased his mom about it. “The decision wasn't hard at all,” Weah said. “I knew from the start I wanted to play for the United States of America. I am never going to change. This is my country and I love it here. They treat me well here and I love my teammates. “ Now on the U-19 team for Paris St. Germain (where his father played from 1992-1995 and won the Ligue 1 title in 1993-94), Weah has been with the club since 2014 and has made steady progress through the team’s academy. Last season he won a U-17 title with PSG and he even had a five-goal effort against Shanghai Shenhua at the Al Kass International Cup.
What about the option of representing France? It was apparently a possibility he was weighing just over a year ago. Anyway, good to see his sights are set solely on the USA now (provided he's being sincere).

Interesting that he hadn't been on a professional contract prior to this week. He must have been on an amateur contract up until now. Who knew?
Easy to forget how young he is. Seems like he regularly produces for the U19's despite not even playing for them full time.
In May of last year he signed an apprentice contract with them, and the French press reported the terms of his signing bonus and salary: https://www.bigsoccer.com/threads/timothy-weah-at-psg.2009605/page-3#post-34057870

Gets some recognition from Squawka as well. Timothy Weah scored a hat-trick on his full UEFA Youth League debut for PSG vs. Ludogorets. 29' ⚽️48' ⚽️85' ⚽️ https://t.co/PdIFXvXJ6k— Squawka (@Squawka) July 3, 2017
probably a stupid question, but this doesnt mean anything in terms of standing in the team just that hes of age, right?
Yeah. I doubt he'll even appear on the bench for the first team this season. Maybe once or twice if he does really well, but probably looking more at the 2018-19 season or 2019-20 season as when he'll be integrated to the PSG first team, if it happens at all.
Just heard about this kid. Is he a true American, or is he a dual nationals? Kid looks promising, hope he pans out well and play for for us.
