Earning his stripes: Timothy Weah at Juventus

Weah on the bench. As far as I can tell, he’s the only pure attacker on the bench, minutes today forthcoming???

 

Pastore, Meunier, and Nkunku have all come on already, so no Weah today.

Kind of a crappy thing for Weah that Emery isn’t back next year, so he won’t have any reason to look at future potential players for PSG.

Does PSG loan out young players much?

 

A bit. Celtic loaned out the guy who would be ahead of Weah, Oddsone Édouard, and just triggered his purchase clause after a quite good debut season. A brace in a 5-0 destruction of Rangers to win the title will do that. They seem to put their guys in good positions, it seems that most of the loanees have played a lot this year, but I'm not sure it appears to be a development strategy. They could all be like Édouard and be deals that allow for permanent transfers.
