What happened to the back of his jersey? I just saw a few moments of him on the field and it was all white on the back. Did it get covered up as part of the bandaging process or what?

Probably a replacement Jersey since his was blood-stained.

So, depending on how you book it, a 2 assist day for Timo.

I think transfermarkt assigns assists for pens drawn when converted. Could have had another to David... kind of surprised David missed that header. What a gory mess though... LOL. Kid looked like a real warrior out there. Nice to see him in form.

Weah, like Miazga, is on the up and up with his club. These guys are making the point.

I wish Brooks, Musah and Dest all can learn Weah’s fighting spirit.

Yes. I just thought maybe they would have had some, I don't know, replacement jerseys on hand for each player in a situation like that. Guess not.

He says he enjoys being more of a playmaker than dribbler and I’m kinda seeing that. He’s make for an interesting 10/withdrawn forward

The Concacaf connection was working for Lille yesterday. Weah was the chance provider in both goals and (the guy who could have chosen us) was the finisher.

Weah was almost dead last in the WS ratings a few weeks ago. He's moved up 100+ spots to the middle of the pack with outstanding recent play. Keep it up.

He has to say what is politically correct. Previously he said he was a winger not a 9 but it was kinda like "who me, 9? Huh, oh no, defnitely no , I'm a winger (utters nervous chuckle).

Weah was one of those guys who came back better after surgery than before.

I don't think people realize how good he was before the injury.

    Like Tommy John.

If only Jordan Morris had had double ACL surgery at Stanford.

I'm still agnostic on Tim. He has the tools, and he has the games. He still needs to keep form for longer than two weeks. For the NT, I'd love to see him as a lone striker. Guy can produce a decent shot.

Northern Voice just had a write-up about him. They're praising him highly, and he's deemed a key player for Lille going forward.

    https://www.lavoixdunord.fr/1075478/article/2021-09-27/losc-timothy-weah-le-sens-du-combat

"The American attacker didn't score on Saturday at Strasbourg, but was vital at all levels in the first Lille away win this season. Not used much under Galtier, he seems to grow important after the appointment of Jocelyn Gourvennec."

Then he's praised for his fighting spirit, the assist, and there's an overview of how important he'll be for the rest of the season.

The point is that having an article dedicated to him in the Voix du Nord is testament of his growth in the public mind over there.

And in these past months he has been putting in the work. You don't just sit around, go through the motions and improve like this. Of course there will be ups and downs but it looks like he is putting in the work to improve. Love to see that
