Yeah I'm not sure what the rules are in France.

Maybe like a youth/amateur deal that's guaranteed until he's 19 so he can play up to U21s and PSG has rights if he leaves but can be voided if they sign him for pro deal at 18?

Timothy is currently with the USA U-17s for the Nike International Friendlies in Florida.

Young Timothy scores a hat trick in his debut for PSG U17's. Another great prospect in the 00' class.

Paul Kennedy reported it. Apparently a France based beat writer. Couldn't find a story online.

    Snip:

Timothy was born in New York, but the French Football Federation are said to be interested in seeing the PSG youngster swap allegiances and play for their national youth teams.

"I was born in New York, and it's my home country, but I also like France. At present, I'm playing for the United States U-17s and we're preparing for the next World Cup. However, as for the future, I still haven't decided, which country I'll represent," Timothy concluded.

Sounds like he is one of those whoever calls me first at the first team level guys. Well not a problem that can be handled right now. Maybe in 3-4 years.

Good that he's doing so well, but does anyone else think it shows how much we are improving that a player like this who is having so much success at a big academy doesn't even stand out with his NT age group?

I learned the long hard way that scoring goals at the academy youth level has nothing to do with touch, feel, movement, and knowing how to play the game at a top adult level.

PS I just noticed my post using words like long, hard, touch, feel and movement may subliminal subtext for some deep childhood issues. I may need to seek professional help and be away from Big Soccer for awhile. :D
