As with any of these guys, as much as we want Weah back quickly, it is more important for him to be fully fit. If he comes back too soon, that's just going to hamper his burgeoning career. He needs to get healthy before thinking about getting his career back on track.

Back quickly? Lol it’s been half a year.

he’s proved nothing in his career. A few goals in a bad Scottish league. He needs to play soon. Lille has some young dudes that will pass him by soon.

    Whats with the abrasive posting?

Maybe Weah pans out and maybe he doesn’t.

The fact is Lille paid $10 million for him and that’s not an inconsequential sum for a club like Lille. He will get every opportunity to show he is worth that investment. He isn’t even close to being written off their yet.

That's just his MO lately. Pissy, condescending, needlessly cynical.

I blame the Internet. Back when people talked sports in bars, you were careful with your words because your nose was on the line.

I think it's about time we hustle young Tim Weah back into a competitive match, and tomorrow (Wed Jan 29) looks ideal. Lille plays in the French Cup, Round of 16, at ...

"Stade Athletique Spinalien (SAS) Épinal ... a French football club based in the commune of Épinal. They currently play in the Championnat National 2. Their kit colours are yellow and blue. They play their home matches at the Stade de la Colombière in Épinal."

    I suggest 15-20 minutes at 3/4 speed ...

I think Weah is a solid prospect, but that we don't know much more right now. he has excelled in youth tournaments and had a decent loan for half a season in the SPL, but we really haven't seen a complete season against adults. The injury was unfortunate. Hopefully, he can fully recover and then we can see how he progresses from a prospect to a real contributing player. I have seen penciled in as a starter at times for the NATs, but I am hesitant to predict that until he heals and gets more games under his belt to show that he warrants that spot. Hopefully, his time with Lille will begin in earnest soon.

    Via Lille LOSC Twitter:

Galtier: "Adama is sick. Otherwise, everyone is operational except Brada ', who has resorted, Saad Agouzoul and Timothy Weah, who has integrated all the sessions but who is still too fair"

Galtier: "With the absences of Weah and Yazici, there is not enough competition. It would be interesting if the young people tickle the older ones. I will rely on them to ensure that there are more world in the offensive sector."

That's one way to become more offensive.

    No Weah, no how ...

Épinal 2-1 Lille, and Lille crash out of the French Cup.

Too bad. That would have been a good competition for Weah to get his sea legs.

He's definitely the kind of player who has some magic moments even not at 100% fitness. Hopefully he can get minutes on the field and a good run of health to show that

Hamstring injuries are a real bitch and can alter careers if not treated properly. Ask Chris Paul or Jozy.

Much better to give him an extra 2-3 weeks of full training when he's 19/20 then let the issue turn into a chronic problem that affects his entire career.

Not out of mind. The fact that the manager is tracking him so closely that he's predicting a specific match, tells you he's eager to play him

I think the same. I know he doesn’t have great 1v1 ability, so his ceiling as a winger is limited, but he’s shown to produce magic in the final third in big moments for us. Qualities that aren’t easy to come by.

He’s our starting RW for us the day he’s healthy, then it’s up to the other young bucks to take that spot away

I think it's still Morris, but there's a huge opening at CF. I really hope Weah can establish himself there.
