You guys have been such good WPS fans so I'm surprised not see a Breakers game thread for their ROAD game at Washington that is already 35 minutes into the first half. What's going on??

I see little point in discussing the game based on Twitter updates and the match tracker, since I really have no idea how the game is going.

Yeah, but other teams put up gameday theads anyway. We can just use this thread.

It's 0-0 at the half and 2nd half just started. Both teams are playing pretty evenly according to Twitter updates. Wambach has had at least one good scoring chance but was unable to finish.

I'm not sure about the Breakers because I haven't seen all the updates.

Scurry fouled hucles? i cant wait to see that. Thats the first penalty I have seen called on a keeper in a long long time. Last one I can recall is the keeper for north korea years ago.

Smith's PK was at 56'. Lindsey equalized at 60'.

    84': Tomecka on for Schmedes
84': Zimmeck on for de Vanna

Both teams have used three subs. They allow four, right?

    Yes 4.

Here is some details on scurry foul.

"Scurry goes too far, gets knocked out of play - D there to block goal but PK awarded to Boston"

    Done.

Sounds like a great win for the Breakers. Smith with another goal. Tomecka, Bishop, and Latham get some playing time.

Seems to me that from the comments Washington was controlling much of the play again but they just could not get it in the net. I personally think Boston has such a huge advantage with smith. She is just getting better and better and making those around her better. I haven't been particularly impressed with the play of Boston as a whole, but when you have a player with a nose for the net, it doesn't matter that you might not be as organized in terms of possession, she can find a way. She was saying that when she played for the arsenal she only practed twice a week. Its almost scary to think how much better she may become playing soccer fulll time.

She cannot have had her hands on the ball when she fell outside because thats a red card is it not?

I can't believe Wambach couldn't beat Luckenbill on the penalty kick. Maybe Wambach is not the same anymore after the leg injury but that shouldn't affect here as long as the leg is fully healed.

WPS better put all these highlights now that they have video on their site.

As far as the predictions for this game go most people predicted a Boston win but not by 3-1. Boston looks to be a top team in the league.

It could be Boston vs. L.A. in the first WPS final.

I HATE that useless matchtracker as well but Karyn from WPS told me they will have streaming games online THIS season on the WPS site so that will be MUCH better. :)
