He lives on an island with 2pac and Elvis!! Seriously though that is a good question, he like disappeard after the 2000 season.
Actually about two years ago Roy was busted for stealing a car, true story. I think now he may be in the A-league somewhere.
Apparently he just played his last game. http://home.hamptonroads.com/stories/story.cfm?story=68368&ran=46517
Roy was a great player, my inspiration to play forward but I just hate to use the word "was". He's retiring from the game isn't good news.
He never stole a car... you dont know what your talking about. It was a TV dip$hit and it was when we was a kid. (college) He later sold Mike Duhaney (MLS journeyman/loser) a used BMW that was reposed since Lassiter pocketed the payments and never made them to the bank. Thats pretty much the full story... Oh well that and DC has been crap eer since we traded him for Albright.
Austin as of late May http://www.odt.co.nz/cgi-bin/search...B7068RM&type=html&WORDS=Lassiter&DB=Editorial
We had a thread about Lassiter on the DC United board and someone said he's with the Laredo Heat. Here's a link to an undated press release: http://londo.swishmail.com/~jvela/gifs/archive2004/release19.doc
Last night, July 10, he was in Dallas for the presentation and recognition of Jason Kreis as the new MLS all-time goal scoring leader.
He's in Austin, Tx and is the recently appointed "Director of Coaching" for the DS Stars, a U11 - U18 select club 20 miles west of Austin. My 17 year old son's pre-season team camp begins 7/26 with Roy and friends.
Ya, I wonder if the MLS hadn't come about a couple years sooner if Rocket Roy wouldn't still have that title. No offense to Kries. Isn't it great that the league's getting old enough to have nostalga and history like this?
I still think he should have been named to the 1998 World Cup team ahead of Roy Wegerle... He scored two goals in qualifying in two games against Costa Rica. If you made a best 11 of the players to have worn a US jersey who never played in a World Cup, he'd be on that list, along with my old Cosmos hero, Rick Davis...

He is with the Laredo Heat. My coach plays with him. Check the website and you'll see him on the roster.
