I have looked in the USL media guide and thoughout the MLS and I cannot find Brett Hall. I last saw him at the A-league finals in Milwaukee? Anyone know where i\he is now. He has been quite a successfull coach and in his hay day a success player. Cheers
Coaching the chicago soccers. Last year he coached the Fire reserves as well (not sure about plans this year).
I don't think he coached the reserves last year. He did the year before, but I think the reserves had someone else last year (but I can't remember who off the top of my head). I'm sure JC knows.
Bret still does some coaching for the Sockers, sort of. Mostly just trains players and holds some sort of administrative role for the Fire Reserves along with Matkovich. No USL stuff. well, that and take care of his army of cats.
Hall was under contract with the CFR and had some kind of title, but I never saw him around on game days. He is as good a defensive coach at this level as there is and deserves to coach at a higher level. Matkovich is pretty much running the on field part of the CFR.
FYI: Bret Hall is not working for the Reserves at this time, in any capacity (administrative or otherwise). Mike Matkovich was head coach last season and returns this season in the same position.
