I hear teams in England want him, West Ham and Portsmouth maybe. Do you think Monaco might want him back?

He should buy a retirement home. His prime time is over. Now is time to spend more quality time with his family.

Oh dear Guignol. Lazlo wouldn't appreciate that one.

Barthez will never stop. He'll be 45 playing for some Emirates team, cashing paychecks and putting SPF 60 on that dome of his. Good for him.

    Toulouse: Barthez in approach...

The international goalkeeper of the team of France should join Toulouse Football Club very soon.

At the end of the contract with the Olympic one of Marseilles, Fabulous Fab' should logically join its native South-west while engaging in favour of Toulouse Football Club. Wished by his/her friend Elie Baup, Fabien Barthez will thus finish its career in the club which gave him its chance to the beginning of the Nineties.

Having already refused many offers, in particular coming from Qatar, the 34 year old gatekeeper will officiate as a holder in the cages of the team of France at the time of the World one. Once the completed German tour, it should then join Stadium for a last challenge which is due to him in heart, to return with the TFC what the club gave him, namely a beautiful notoriety and a place among largest.

As of now, Barthez has not yet made a committment to any club?

It sounds like he's going to end his career with Toulouse? Wow, I still think he can play a few more years at top flight but I know he doesn't want to play much longer.

elie baup may want him, but if i was coaching téfécé i wouldn't accept him for love nor money. this is a young club which already has a terrific young keeper and they don't need barthez either on the field or in the clubhouse.

why did he leave marseille in the first place, it's not that far from lavalant. and toulouse really think that they have better keepers than barthez, and what is a goalkeepers salary that barthez wants 20-30 euros a week?

rivault is an excellent, much underrated keeper, and douchez is a talented youngster. if barthez kept his spot in the NT because continuity in that position is important, it's impossible to justify his taking revault's spot.

I thought Barthez had a suspension from the FFF for spitting in a ref's face? Wouldn't that lead him abroad?

He's being linked with Toulouse and Rennes. Baup wants him but the owner doesnt. If Issakson is sold to England he's being tipped to replace him at Rennes.

Barthez doesn't interact with the media because i think he has little respect for all that when one day you could be the hero next the mickey mouse, which let's face it. The media have made both accusations towards Barthez at numerous occasions.

I would like to see Fab stay in France or come to England.
