Harkesy is sorely needed for the playoff run, IMO. Has anyone been out to Obetz and seen or talked to him? Part of our problem Sat. appeared to be distribution from the defensive third.

Is he STILL hurt, or in the Fitz style doghouse?

    Have you seen him Dennis?

I saw (and heard) him telling Richard Heron to "take off the red shirt, mate" on television Sunday...

I'd rather know why Leitch hasn't been on the field, what has he done wrong to deserve the bench?

As of two weeks ago Harkes was still riding the stationary bike at Obetz according to reports. At this rate, with him missing this much game time I'm not so sure how high his match fitness will be, even though he is a veteran and all. I doubt we see him in game 1, and probably not this series. I'm not really too upset. He's a favorite player of mine, but you might as well ride the horses who got you hear, even if it sometimes seems they have west nile.

Um, I'd try and answer your question if I could figure it out.

He started the last two matches; played 80 minutes on Sunday until getting yanked for Dante when we were puching for a goal.

When is it that Leitch hasn't been on the field?

It helped that Dema the Miniature Bitch took him down wrestling style at the top of the 18 to get space to serve the ball to Nowak.

I need to stop studying so much and pay attention to soccer.

    Thanks.

Dema didn't bring Leitsch down. He brought Denton down, then dribbled across the top of the 18 to pass to Nowak who got behind Leitsch. That's where the "give a goal" comment comes from.

Haven't been to Obetz since late August or early September but I know he aggravated the injury afterwards. I doubt that he'll be on the pitch for the Crew in the playoffs after having missed most of the games since the mid-summer time. He wouldn't be match fit and who would he replace? Buddle? Oughton?

Mais had a bruised foot and was being held to let it heal.

When does his contract expire? This season or next or sometime later?

If you're asking about when Harkes' contract expires, I think at the end of the season. Remember, he was signed very late at the beginning of the season for league minimum ($65k). I wouldn't be suprised if this is the last we see of him in the black and gold of The Crew. May end up with A-League Charleston Battery next season with former Nats teammate Eric Wynalda since they are best friends.
